Dan Kouzo narrates about what his life was like before the Bakugan came to Earth about a year ago. His mother attempted to persuade him to take up an activity that he would be passionate about, but he wasn’t interested in any of them. Dan is part of a friend group, consisting of himself and his best friends Griffin Tessly and Mia Ono. The Bakugan eventually crash land on Earth unexpectedly, and Dan ends up meeting Dragonoid for the first time, and he began to show him everything there is to know about Earth. It is revealed that the Bakugan are from a galaxy called Vestroia. The different planets were in the middle of an intergalactic war which caused a rip in the space-time continuum that sent the Bakugan to Earth in the first place. A few days after the military and scientists intervened in their attempt to stop the conflict between these creatures, they agreed to an uneasy truce and began to integrate into human society since they’re stuck on Earth together. Over time, the Bakugan ended up bonding with all the kids on Earth, including Dan and his friends, in which they shared their passion of Baku-brawling with them, which keeps them both mentally and physically strong. Bakugan brawling eventually began to grow in popularity in the form of arena events, and Dan and Drago became popular after defeating many opponents in every brawl they faced together. In the present, Dan and Drago prepare to face their opponent Nillious who holds a personal grudge against the latter due to their recent history together, and it is revealed that he started the war on Vestroia, and Drago was trying to prevent it from happening to begin with. In the midst of the brawl, Nillious nearly defeats Drago, but he makes a comeback and successfully defeats him, thus winning the brawl. Nillious, refusing to accept defeat, charges towards Drago, with Dan attempting to defend him. Drago pulls him back, and a mystical connection occurs between them, causing the former to grow into a giant and knock out Nillious instantly. The entire crowd, including Dan are soon left in shock, and amazed by the ability that Drago achieved instantly.

Following Drago's discovery of the new ability that allowed him to grow into a giant all of a sudden when he and Dan developed a mystical connection with each other, many Brawlers have begun to achieve the same ability with their Bakugan as well. Furthermore, the card technology that the Brawlers possess have the ability to generate battle arenas called Bakugan Ability Modification Zones (BAM Zones for short) which also generate power-ups called BAM's (Bakugan Ability Modifications) that have three types of power-ups: strength, speed, and health that the Brawlers can use to power-up their Bakugan in battle. One day, Dan and Mia decide to have a Baku-brawl at the latter’s behest. Before they can do so, they are suddenly interrupted by Chip who distrusts Bakugan, having been sent by his father, the mayor, to keep an eye on them, including Dan and Mia. Suddenly, Dan, Griffin, and Mia discover two rampaging Bakugan attacking the city, prompting Chip to contact the military to deal with them personally. Their brawling partners explain that they were brawling in the park, until a mysterious energy corrupted them and made them run rampant all of a sudden. Dan and Mia are determined to defeat these Bakugan quickly before Chip and the military arrive to stop these creatures themselves. While fighting these Bakugan, Dan and Drago lure the tarantula Bakugan towards Octogan and trick it into attacking him. With Octogan distracted, Mia and Ventri manage to defeat him, while Drago easily defeats the tarantula Bakugan, thus saving the city. Worried that the same thing might repeat itself on account that the Bakugans connection with those kids caused them to run rampant in the first place, the mayor announces that all Bakugan brawling has officially been outlawed in all cities worldwide for everyone’s safety. Furthermore, a Task Force has been established, led by Chip to track down and put an end to any illegal Baku-brawls that occur within the city. Regardless, Dan declares that he’s not going to follow through with the ban and says, “just let them try and stop us.”

Dan is depressed that he can't brawl in public anymore ever since Baku-brawls were outlawed after two Bakugan mysteriously went rampant all of a sudden. Griffin on the other hand starts to believe that he won't be able to get the chance to brawl since he doesn't have a Bakugan, and the fact that Baku- brawling has been outlawed worldwide. Suddenly, Dan and Griffin discover a signal being detected from the latter's Baku-Ball Tracker App on his phone, indicating that a Bakugan is about to land on Earth. After picking up Drago from work, Dan, Griffin, and Mia investigate the crash site where the Bakugan landed. After awakening, the Bakugan, whose name is Trox, suddenly attacks Drago and Ventri out of pure instinct. Hoping to calm him down, Dan and Mia prepare to battle him, but the Task Force soon arrives to apprehend them, prompting the trio to flee. Griffin flees with Trox, and they attempt to hide from Chip, to no avail. The Task Force eventually corners the duo, and Griffin is restrained. Trox is about to attack them, but Griffin manages to calm him down. As a result, a mystical connection occurs between them, causing Trox to grow into a giant all of a sudden, which means that Griffin is now a Brawler. Using his new size to his advantage, he grabs Griffin and they manage to escape from Chip while rendezvousing with Mia and Ventri. Meanwhile, Dan and Drago are hiding in plain sight under an overpass, but the Task Force succeeds in finding them. They soon meet a Brawler named Kage, and they manage to escape with him through the portal just before the Task Force can catch them.

After escaping from the Task Force thanks to Kage, Dan and Drago discover that they have ended up at an abandoned fire station in Iceland. Kage leads them to a secret entrance inside the volcano and gives them a tour of his MOD, a hidden training facility that belongs to the Dragon Clan where everyone can Baku-brawl without getting caught. Kage, who is revealed to be the leader of the Dragon Clan, explains that after Bakugan brawling was outlawed, Bakugan of the same type started grouping together and forming clans, such as the Insect Clan, the Dino Clan, the Aquatic Clan, the Mammal Clan, and the Avian Clan. Each of these clans have built their own MODS so that they can Baku-brawl each other at any time without getting caught by the authorities. Kage offers Dan and Drago to join the Dragon Clan, much to the former's excitement, and the latter's reluctance, but after discovering that the clans founder is Nillious, whom Kage has paired up with, Dan changes his mind and decides not to join the Dragon Clan. After Nillious taunts Drago, Kage challenges Dan to a Baku-brawl to prove that the former has gotten stronger than last time ever since they paired up. In the midst of the brawl, Drago seems to have the upper hand after receiving a Speed BAM from Dan, but the latter falls into a trap while trying to retrieve the Strength BAM. As a result, Kage successfully defeats him. In the aftermath, Drago apologizes to Dan for losing the brawl, but Dan admits that it was his fault that they lost in the first place. In the end, Dan has come to realize that joining the Dragon Clan was a bad idea, with Drago reprimanding him for his actions about jumping into bad situations without thinking things through.
5 | 3a | "Bunch of Misfits" | September 1, 2023 (NF) October 7, 2023 (DXD) | TBA
Mia has been living a double life under two different identities. Whenever she's at home, she wears her school outfit to make her parents think that's she's a straight A student living up to their expectations, and following the rules. Whenever she's out of the house, she changes into her normal attire with her hairclip (which allows her to change between her attires) so that she can continue to brawl without her parents knowledge. While watching a Baku-brawl between Dan and Mia, Griffin and Trox encounter a stray dog who claims that he lives here, and that he enjoys watching Baku-brawls (his name is Murph). It is implied that Trox has the ability to understand what animals are saying. Simultaneously, Mia becomes suspicious of Dan and Drago and suspects that they’re keeping something from her. Kage and Nillious suddenly appear, and the former reveals that they joined the Dragon Clan (even though they didn't want to the moment they found out that Nillious founded this clan to begin with), as well as the fact that the Bakugan grouped together and formed different clans based on their type after brawling was outlawed, which Dan never mentioned to his friends. They soon leave after Drago declares that he and Dan have no interest in joining the Dragon Clan. Dan then explains that all he ever wanted was to brawl again, and he thought that the Dragon Clan would offer him and Drago that chance to do so, which is why he quickly accepted Kage's offer in the first place. Mia then gets a call from her mother, causing her to revert into her school attire. Afterwards, Mia and Dan begin to argue about lying for their own reasons, and the former challenges the latter to a Baku-brawl out of spite. Mia easily defeats Dan, and the latter apologizes for his actions, having realized that he wasn't thinking straight and ended up hurting her feelings from the start. As a result, they decide to make amends with each other. In addition, Drago starts to believe that not joining the Dragon Clan was the right choice to make, and that everyone's differences can make them stronger. On Mia's suggestion, the trio decide to create a clan of their own, one that accepts everyone's differences and Bakugan types. Dan then proclaims that they have formed a clan, and everyone is happy as a result.
6 | 3b | "Brawl Or Nothing" | September 1, 2023 (NF) October 7, 2023 (DXD) | TBA
While remodeling the abandoned Bakugan arena into their new MOD, the clan suddenly encounter the Insect Clan, led by Backslash who admonishes them for being a joke to the other clans because they are completely inconsistent. It turns out that the Insect Clan are all about collecting and analyzing data, which explains how they found out about this new clan in the first place. When Dan asks about a Baku-league that they mentioned earlier, the Insect Clan explains that it is a secret Brawling league run by all the "real" clans. Backslash says that the only way to qualify is to defeat a clan that's already a part of the league, such as the Insect Clan. Furthermore, they mention that they only get one shot at this, meaning that if they lose, they’ll be permanently banned. Despite concerns about the outcome if the clan loses, Dan is still confident that they can win this. Backslash sets up the rules about how this will go down: there will be three brawls, and the clan that wins two of them will be accepted into the Baku-league. Backslash manages to win the first match, while Mia succeeds in winning the second match after outsmarting Tilde. This means that its up to Griffin to win the third and final match in order to qualify for the Baku-league. During the brawl, Griffin is nervous because this is his first brawl after all, and he’s worried that he’ll let his friends down if he loses. Hoping to help Griffin clear his head, Dan heads up to the DJ booth and turns on the music, causing Griffin to groove to the beat of the music. Now that he’s relaxed, Griffin boosts his confidence, makes a comeback, and successfully defeats Function, thus winning the third match. In the aftermath, the Insect Clan reluctantly allows the trio to join the Baku-league, but they will need a name for their clan first. Remembering what Nillious called them before he left with Kage earlier, Dan decides to call their clan the “Misfit Clan,” with his friends all agreeing to it.

The Misfits seek to recruit more members to their clan, just like the other clans because three Brawlers isn't enough. At one point, they discover a stray cat who acts hostile towards them, except to the Bakugan, and Trox, who has started to take a liking to him, decides to name him Jasper. Griffin shows Dan and Mia a video of a kid named Juno Reyes who is known for performing crazy stunts with her Bakugan, and they decide to recruit her into their clan. They find her doing a stunt with her Bakugan Bruiser, and Juno is thrilled to meet them because she recognizes Dan and his friends, as well as their newly formed clan after she accessed all their information by sending a signal to their phones, and it is revealed that she's also a hacker as well. Mia asks Juno to join their clan, but before she can answer, the Mammal Clan, led by Ace, suddenly arrive in their attempt to recruit Juno into their clan as well. Seeing the two clans fighting over her, Juno suggests that they show them a Baku-brawl in action before they decide which clan they want to join. The Mammal Clan arrive at the Misfits MOD where the brawl will take place, and at one point, Ace recognizes Jasper who used to be part of the Mammal Clan, but was later kicked out for not following the rules, which the Mammal Clan strictly adheres to. The brawl begins between Mia and Ace, and after a tense match, the latter emerges victorious. In the aftermath, Juno decides to join the Misfit Clan because she thinks that hanging out with the Misfits suits her fun lifestyle. In addition, she thinks that the Mammal Clan is boring due to their strict rules. Ace is angered by Juno's decision, causing the Mammal Clan to leave the Misfits MOD. In the end, the Misfits welcome Juno with open arms.

Nillious has gathered the leaders of the other clans and fills them in on the formation of the Misfit Clan. He considers this clan a threat to the other clans because it is made up of Bakugan of different types and is determined to find a way to weaken them and abolish their clan for good somehow. Meanwhile, the Misfits are having a hard time adjusting to Juno being a part of their clan now due to her enthusiastic personality as well as her hacking skills. Griffin suggests that she work with him to find a way to give their Bakugan a competitive edge in battle. After combining their hardware and software together, Griffin and Juno begin conducting experiments on their Bakugan, mainly Trox, with "not so great" results. Suddenly, Juno discovers something that she has never seen before during their experiment. She uses the HUD and begins hacking into the Misfits Clan card. She manages to find a hidden source of energy in the form of a new Bakugan variant, derived from combined energy sources such as this one. Juno gives this new variant to Griffin to test out, and Trox ends up with a golden weapon. She says that this new variant is called Gold Evolution, an evolution that gives Bakugan golden weapons that the Misfits can use in battle that will give them an advantage needed to win. However, Griffin realizes that it's gonna take time to master it completely. Suddenly, the Insect Clan arrive, intending to get revenge on the Misfits for defeating them earlier. This leads to a Baku-brawl between Backslash and Juno who decides to test out the Gold Evolution variant. However, Bruiser is struggling to use his new golden weapon, which is in the form of an axe since this is his first time using it for starters. Juno seems to be struggling, until she spots a Gold BAM that she has never seen before. She runs towards it and succeeds in retrieving it, which gives Bruiser an additional golden weapon, a golden hammer. Using that weapon, Bruiser successfully defeats Mantid. In the aftermath, the Misfits congratulate Juno for winning the brawl, and that they’re glad that she's one of them due to her discovery of the Gold Evolution variant that they plan to use to give their Bakugan the advantage needed to win. Despite losing the brawl, Backslash has secretly been recording this new Gold Evolution variant in order to expose the Misfit Clan, which they’re completely unaware of.

Dan and Juno are having a Baku-brawl while testing out their Gold Evolution. Afterwards, the Misfits head home for the night, leaving Jasper and Murph at the MOD. Kage and Nillious soon arrive, intending to get their hands on the data that unlocks the Gold Evolution variant. After Jasper and Murph refuse to let them in, they break into the MOD, only to run into various traps set up by them. Regardless, Kage and Nillious locate the lounge inside of the Misfits MOD, and the former learns that they hacked into the HUD's data drive, which is how they obtained Gold Evolution in the first place. Jasper and Murph continue their attempts to slow them down, and Nillious chases them into the battle arena. Murph throws a Clan card and creates a battlefield. Nillious initiates a Baku-brawl against the two animals despite them having no Bakugan, but due to their small size and incredible speed, they manage to outwit him, resulting in his defeat. Kage then leaves the MOD. The next morning, the Misfits return and discover their MOD in a complete mess. Jasper and Murph explain the events that happened last night, and the Misfits seem to be impressed with them for defending the MOD. Later, Griffin is nervous about the upcoming brawl because he hasn't mastered Gold Evolution yet, but Trox cheers him up and suggests that he train like Captain Shadow, a superhero from one of his favorite TV shows, hoping that it will help build his confidence. After training for the upcoming brawl, the Misfit Clan arrive at the Dino Clan's MOD at an abandoned history museum and meet Barbell and Dumbbell. The brawl will be between Griffin and Barbell. In a shocking turn of events, Griffin discovers that Barbell has Gold Evolution just like him, and Dumbbell reveals that it was given to them by Kage and Nillious of the Dragon Clan. In the midst of the brawl, Griffin spots a BAM that is too far away for him to get and becomes afraid about letting his friends down, but Trox reminds him not to doubt himself, and to remember his training that we went through earlier, boosting his confidence in the process. Griffin races towards the Strength BAM, but it turns out that Barbell beat him to it, barely. As a result, she successfully defeats him. Drago tells them to keep this video a secret from Dan, worried that he’ll be embarrassed from it, as well as having his feelings hurt. He attempts to distract Dan from seeing the video by taking him around the city, such as to the park, and out to lunch, but eventually, he finds out about the video and becomes a laughingstock, and he starts to feel embarrassed in the process. He returns to the MOD, and although he is upset that Juno and Griffin kept this from him from the beginning, the former reveals that she tracked the IP address to the Insect Clan MOD, indicating that they were the ones that leaked the video in the first place. Upon arrival, Dan suspects that Backslash released that video to begin with, and the latter agrees to delete it if Dan can defeat him in a Baku-brawl. During the brawl, Dan learns that Drago is holding back and is completely unfocused because something is bothering him and suspects that he's keeping something from him. Drago confesses that he was the one that made that funny video of Dan in the first place. He explains that he wanted to make one for him as a gift, seeing as how he loves watching funny videos. When he finished it, he accidentally uploaded it when he tried to delete it because he thought it would be embarrassing. Backslash reveals that he hacked into the Misfit Clan's security network and subsequently leaked the video himself. Despite hearing the truth from Drago, Dan doesn't care about what he did; even though the video is embarrassing, he still finds it amusing. As a result, he makes a comeback and successfully defeats Backslash. As promised, Backslash deletes the video. Dan then receives a call and is offered a corndog sponsorship in exchange for having his video used in a commercial for corndogs, and he chooses to take the food instead of the money.

After getting rid of him, they start discussing the fact that nobody respects them, not even the other clans, thanks to Nillious because he despises the fact that all Bakugan are different. Dan suggests that they try and form an alliance with another clan, such as the Aquatic Clan, whom they haven't met yet. Juno is unsure about this because she heard rumors about the clans true nature, suspecting that they might treat the Misfits the same way as the other clans did because of Nillious’ influence. Regardless, she reluctantly agrees to go along with their attempt to form an alliance with them. The Misfits arrive at a beach and meet Rip, the leader of the Aquatic Clan and his Bakugan Razor. Drago says that they’re looking for an ally, so Rip takes the Misfits to their MOD inside a sunken ship. He then tells them that the Aquatic Clan has no intention of forming an alliance with them because he sees them as a joke as told from the other clans. The Misfits proclaim that their differences make them stronger, and Dan prepares to face Rip in a Baku-brawl after he insults his clan. However, Juno decides to brawl him instead. In the midst of the brawl, Juno finds a strength BAM on a waterfall that not even Rip can get because it is impossible. Realizing that doing the impossible makes the challenge more fun, Juno successfully retrieves the BAM. However, she and Bruiser get distracted in the process, and as a result, Rip successfully defeats her. In the aftermath, as payback for losing to Rip, Juno hacks into the Aquatic Clans hideout and causes a flash flood in their MOD.
13 | 7a | "Octogan Wrong!" | September 1, 2023 (NF) November 4, 2023 (DXD) | TBA
Griffin is searching for a new energy source to unlock in the HUD that is more powerful than Gold Evolution, but different, to no avail. Juno suggests trying some experiments with their Bakugan, but Bruiser and Trox make up excuses in an attempt to avoid doing them. She thinks that if they got their hands on another piece of Vestroian tech due to their advanced engineering, then they would be able to unlock a new type of evolution. The Misfits are soon visited by a Brawler named Izaak and his Bakugan Octogan. Octogan reveals that he's one of the Bakugan that ran rampant in the city from the very beginning. He and Izaak want to Baku-brawl against the Misfits because the Aquatic Clan, which they’re a part of, did not allow them to Baku-brawl with them, afraid that the former would go berserk again like last time. The Misfits are unsure about brawling with Izaak and Octogan, afraid that the latter will run rampant again and cause damage to their MOD; however, Dan agrees to brawl with them. The Misfits begin to set up extra precautions just in case Octogan does go berserk. Dan and Izaak start their brawl, which goes pretty well for starters, but in the midst of it, Octogan ends up going berserk again and starts causing chaos in the MOD. Griffin says that the only way to stop him is to defeat him again. Luckily, Dan uses a strength BAM on Drago and successfully defeats Octogan. In the aftermath of the brawl, Octogan explains that after his first rampage, he was in some sort of research lab, and the scientists there were conducting experiments on him, leading Mia to deduce that this facility must be connected to the cause of his rampage from the beginning. The Misfits resolve to find this lab and investigate it further at Mia's behest in an attempt to find out the source of the rampaging Bakugan, and possibly find some more Vestroian tech along the way.
14 | 7b | "Eat Meat" | September 1, 2023 (NF) November 4, 2023 (DXD) | TBA
The Misfits are preparing to infiltrate Illusion Tech's underground facility in an attempt to find the source of what caused the Bakugan, including Octogan to rampage in the first place. Dan and Mia disguise themselves as scientists, Juno decides to stay behind to guide them, while Griffin also stays behind to analyze Izaak's clan card that he borrowed from him, the one that caused Octogan to go berserk in the first place. He says that it glowed and gave off a strange energy when Izaak and Dan brawled, and that he plans to identify the energy signal, which might help them find the source of that energy to begin with. Dan and Mia infiltrate the lab and begin their search. However, they are forced to split up in order to avoid detection from a guard. While Dan succeeds in not blowing his cover, Mia discovers to her shock that her Dad is there and starts to assume that he's involved with these experiments somehow. Simultaneously, Juno guides Dan to a room that's giving off the same energy signal like on the card that Griffin analyzed. Assuming that this is the place that holds the secret behind the rampaging Bakugan, Dan and Drago bust their way in, but instead, they find Hammerhead, a former Bakugan champion after brawling was outlawed, and a young boy who initiates a Baku-brawl against them. Much to their shock, Dan and Drago discover that the boy is using a new type of Bakugan evolution called Titanium Evolution, something they haven't seen before. They struggle to beat Hammerhead because of his armor, but Dan uses a strength BAM on Drago and succeeds in defeating him. Mia rendezvous with Dan and ends up meeting the boy who brawled with the latter. He explains that after brawling was outlawed, he met Hammerhead in this facility because neither of them had anywhere else to go, and they’ve been sticking together ever since. He doesn't even remember his own name because he mysteriously lost his memory about a month ago. Suddenly, the alarm goes off, forcing Dan and Mia to flee from the facility. They are soon cornered, and Mia attempts to use her Clan card to open a portal to escape, to no avail because this lab is designed to prevent that from happening. Luckily, the boy leads Dan and Mia to a room where they can actually open a portal, and they all manage to escape back to the Misfits MOD (Dan convinced the boy to come with them, believing that he belongs with the Misfits). Dan then proclaims that as of today, the boy and Hammerhead are now Misfits. The search for the source behind the rampaging Bakugan continues. In the end, Mia is troubled about why her Dad would be involved in these experiments on Bakugan in the first place.

The boy and Hammerhead start to explore the city since this is their first time out of that facility. The Misfits attempt to jog his memory with food for starters, to no avail. Still in need of a name, the boy decides to go by the name Thunder Crunch because of the sound of pickles, his favorite food, TC at Juno's recommendation. Back at the MOD, Juno examines the data on Titanium Evolution that Hammerhead used recently. Griffin suggests that she hack into the lab, but Juno tells him that this place doesn't have any information about Titanium Evolution, leading them to a dead end. She then turns her attention to Mia who secretly tells her that her Dad is somehow involved in these experiments that the Bakugan have been subjected to. She's doesn't want to tell him because her parents are oblivious to the fact that she's a Brawler. Juno then proceeds to hack into Mia's Dad's emails in an attempt to find out what's he's really hiding. She finds a top secret file, hoping to find the truth in there, but instead, she finds a picture of Mia as a baby, leading to another dead end. Later, TC asks the Misfits to have a Baku-brawl with him, but they’re too busy with their own things. He then leaves the MOD with Hammerhead to continue to explore the city, hoping to have some fun out there. While doing so, he is soon confronted by Chip who assumes that he's about to start a Baku-brawl. Due to his amnesia and curious nature for starters, TC starts a Baku-brawl against Chip, mainly his drones. This leads to Chip chasing after him, which the Misfits Bakugan witness from a livestream. Before Chip can apprehend TC, Dan and Drago arrive to save him, but Chip's drones overpower the latter. Realizing that he got them into this mess in the first place because he started an illegal Baku-brawl in public, TC manages to save Drago by disabling Chip's drones. Dan and TC then escape from Chip. Since TC doesn't know a lot about the outside world, including the fact that Baku-brawling has been outlawed, the Misfits resolve to help him adjust to his new life because they consider him a part of the team now. Dan tells him that the Misfits are more than just a clan, they’re a family, and that he's willing to help him out with anything, much to his satisfaction.

Chip locates the Misfits and attempts to catch them doing an illegal Baku-brawl, but only finds them playing basketball and leaves in frustration. It turns out that they were preparing for him to arrive because Griffin managed to place a tracker on one of his drones so that they can track his every move unless he finds the tracker of course. Drago suggests to Dan that they lay low for a while and hold off on Baku-brawling for now because Chip will not give up until he succeeds in catching the Misfits for once. Later, Mia and Ventri encounter Raven, Mia's rival from grade school and the leader of the Avian Clan, as well as her Bakugan Flame who also has a rivalry with Ventri. Mia prepares to Baku-brawl Raven, but she prefers to do it in the Avian Clans MOD, which the former and Ventri must find on their own. The only hint that she gives them is to find the Avian Clan symbol, which could be anywhere. Mia and Ventri search the forest and manage to locate the Avian Clan symbol, but it turns out to be a trap set up by Raven. Next, they attempt to follow her back to her MOD after placing one of Griffin's trackers on Flame, but the signal disappears all of a sudden. Ventri suggests taking a different approach by searching from the sky. Luckily, they manage to locate the Avian Clan's MOD, for real this time. Mia and Ventri head inside the MOD and confront Raven who is ready to Baku-brawl them. During the brawl, Mia begins to struggle because Ventri is unable to keep up with Flame due to the Titanium armor that she's using, which gives Raven the upper hand. Luckily, using their combined teamwork, and the power of Titanium Evolution, Mia makes a comeback and successfully defeats her. Their argument causes Griffin and Trox to leave the MOD at Mia's behest. While out in the city, Griffin and Trox meet Kettlebell, a member of the Dino Clan and his Bakugan Hook who claim to be big fans of theirs. They take them back to their MOD as the other members welcome them with open arms, claiming to be big fans of them as well. Griffin and Trox begin to enjoy their time with the Dino Clan who claim to like the same things they like, such as Griffins music from his Spneakers, and Trox's interest in Tyranno-Man, a character from his favorite TV show after Hook shows him endorsements based on that character. However, after a while, Griffin becomes suspicious when Kettlebell mentions Titanium Evolution to him, and Hook claims to like all the other characters from Tyranno-Man, his favorite TV show, such as Dr. Raptor who doesn't actually exist in the show. Griffin realizes that they’ve been lying to him and Trox this whole time in an attempt to get him to divulge the secret of Titanium Evolution. A Baku-brawl ensues between Griffin and three Dino Clan members, including Kettlebell. The Misfits discover that a Bakugan tournament is being held somewhere, and that all the other clans have joined it, with the exception of the Misfit Clan. Drago is unsure about entering this tournament because it reminds him of the conflict that happened back in Vestroia, when all the clans went to war with one another. Therefore, he starts to think that it wouldn't be wise to participate in this tournament to begin with. However, Dan starts to believe that if the Misfit Clan did win the tournament, then they would be able to show the other clans that Bakugan are at their strongest when they work together with different types. The Misfits eventually agree with Dan's idea and become determined to win this tournament for that exact purpose. The next day, Dan puts the Misfits through an intense training course, and he seems to be taking this too far. This results in the Misfits creating a barricade around the MOD in an attempt to keep Dan out because they can't stand his intensive training. Dan and Drago break down the barricade and chase the Misfits into the arena. They then challenge them to a Baku-brawl which Dan and Drago accept. Dan puts up a massive fight, but since he's outmatched, the Misfits combine their teamwork and successfully defeat him. In a shocking turn of events, Dan reveals that he tricked them into working together as a team, which is exactly what he wanted all along as a way to prepare for the tournament. He says that his intense training methods were the only way to bring them together for that purpose. As a result of this revelation, the Misfits, still angry with Dan for what he put them through, start to chase after him, much to his dissatisfaction.

The Misfits are planning to force their way into the tournament that they weren't invited to because they deserve to compete in it after training for a long period of time. The only problem is that they don't know where it's actually being held. The Misfits think that the other clans who entered this tournament don't want them here because they’re different, that their clan is made up of different Bakugan species, which is what they’re all against. Drago and the other Bakugan agree to enter the tournament alongside the Misfits because the former wants to show the world that different types of Bakugan are at their strongest when they work together. Determined to find out where the tournament is being held, the Misfits pay a visit to Melissa and Jeff who tells them that they need to find hidden markings around the city that will take them to the tournament via a portal. The Misfits begin their search for the markings, which has proven to be difficult. Luckily, Dan and Drago manage to find one, and they end up in the Insect Clan's MOD, the actual location of the tournament. He rendezvous with the other Misfits as they witness TC preparing to face a member of the Dragon Clan. Despite a rocky start, TC makes a comeback and successfully wins the brawl. Dan and Drago confront Nillious about leaving the Misfits out of the tournament on purpose. Nillious explains that the reason he left them out of it in the first place is because he's still against their philosophy of all Bakugan types working together for the greater good. In an attempt to prove that the Misfits are more than capable of winning this tournament, Dan challenges Nillious to a Baku-brawl which be accepts. The other clans join in, prompting the other Misfits to join in as well. During the brawl, Drago and Nillious begin to argue about the latter's grudge against the Misfit Clan, and the formers desire to bring all the clans together. Drago claims that Nillious brought the clans together to fight against the Misfits, but the latter proclaims that he is "controlling the clans," which is why he created the Baku-league in the first place in his attempt to continue the same conflict like back in Vestroia. In a shocking turn of events, Dan discovers a new type of BAM and retrieves it, giving Drago a huge power boost, and it is revealed that it was created by the Insect Clan who are unaware that TC discovered their research lab and unlocked it somehow. Using this new power-up, Drago makes a huge comeback and successfully defeats Nillious. In the aftermath, TC explains that after he discovered the Insect Clan's research lab, he inadvertently created a new BAM, the same one that Dan used to win the brawl against Nillious. Dan is curious to know how the conflict between Drago and Nillious started, but he declines to answer, implying that his story is too complicated for him to tell.
23 | 12a | "Terrible Bitter History" | September 1, 2023 (NF) December 9, 2023 (DXD) | TBA
Mia overhears her Dad mention something about damaged Vestroian technology that he plans to use for some particular goal. The next morning, she tells the Misfits about what she overheard last night from her Dad. She says that she saw him at Illusion Tech and was afraid to tell them because she was having a hard time believing that he is somehow involved with the experimentation on Bakugan. Juno hacks into her Dad's phone in an attempt to find out what he's really up to and discovers that he received a recent message saying that an object from Vestroia was found, and that he sent a team to retrieve it. Drago recognizes it as the Galaxy Cannon, a weapon developed by the Bakugan which was used to harness the energy of his home planet and the entire Vestroian Star System. It was then converted into a powerful laser cannon capable of firing through portals and causing a lot of damage, especially to the other planets in Vestroia. Drago says that there's a device attached to that cannon called the Cogito Drive, the control center of the machine, and the only piece of technology that's still in working condition. He fears that if someone were to misuse it, then the entire world would be put in grave danger in the process. In a surprising turn of events, Juno reveals to the Misfits that Mia's Dad is bringing the cannon to her house in order to examine it further in his workshop in the garage. The Misfits resolve to retrieve the Cogito Drive before anyone else can get their hands on it. While waiting for him to return with the cannon, Drago begins to reflect on his terrible bitter history with Nillious, especially during that tournament. He then agrees to tell the Misfits his backstory about how their rivalry started before he came to Earth. Drago begins to explain that back on his home planet in Vestroia, he and Nillious were leaders in their army, but they had their differences on many things. Over time, their rivalry grew more bitter because of their different ideologies of how they see the world. This resulted in a conflict that led to the interplanetary war with the other planets, especially after all of them built weapons to defend themselves. Following the construction of the Galaxy Cannon, Drago and Nillious began debating on Vestroia's future. Nillious wanted to use it to destroy the other planets, but Drago opposed his demand, worried that they might retaliate. He proposed to get rid of the cannon in an attempt to avoid conflict with the other planets and try to make peace with them, but Nillious did not agree. In an attempt to settle the dispute, he proposed having a Baku-brawl with Drago where the winner gets to decide Vestroia's future. Unfortunately, Drago ended up losing the brawl after saving the other dragon Bakugan from falling rocks that came from an active volcano nearby, which gave Nillious the chance to defeat him. Nillious then aimed the cannon at the other planets and fired, but something completely unexpected happened in the process; the portal started to glow with a bright light, and all the Bakugan from all the planets were pulled into it by an incredibly powerful force, including Drago and Nillious, which is how they ended up on Earth in the first place. Griffin thinks that the Cogito Drive had something to do with the disruption of the portals because of its ability to harness energy like back in Vestroia and deduces that it bonded with the energy from the portals somehow. Mia's Dad soon arrives with the cannon, and the Misfits prepare to retrieve the Cogito Drive that's attached to it.

Mia's Dad brings the damaged cannon into the garage and prepares to examine it further. The Misfits plan to lure him out of his workshop in their attempt to retrieve the Cogito Drive from the cannon. Trox suggests that they set off the truck's car alarm, and everyone (except Dan) seems to agree with him. Before they can put their plan in action, Mia's Mom appears and, shocked by her normal attire, faints all of a sudden. She eventually wakes up, claiming no memory of what she saw a while ago and ends up meeting Mia's friends. While this is happening, Trox ends up knocking a plant over by accident, and the Misfits attempt to make up excuses about what Mia's Mom heard in their attempt to prevent her from finding out about their partnership with their Bakugan, as well as their plan to retrieve the Cogito Drive from Mia's Dad's workshop in the garage. After the Misfits leave her house with the excuse of keeping a look out for rodents, Mia's Dad prepares to take the cannon back to Illusion Tech, but Dan trips the car alarm, causing him to go check on his truck. Drago then sneaks into the garage and successfully retrieves the Cogito Drive. Afterwards, the Misfits flee, but they end up running into the Dragon Clan who are also after the Cogito Drive. Mia starts a Baku-brawl with one of the members and quickly defeats him. In the aftermath, Drago tells the Misfits that he plans to destroy the Cogito Drive before anyone else can get their hands on it, and misuse it for their own purposes despite Griffin's suggestion that they study it for a little while. In a turn of events, Drago tells the Misfits that he has been keeping something from them. He reveals that after he lost the brawl to Nillious, he broke their sacred Bakugan tradition by tampering with the Cogito Drive in an attempt to make the Galaxy Cannon self-destruct when fired, and prevent the interplanetary war from ever happening to begin with. Therefore, (based on Griffin's theory that it created an anomaly in the cannon's system) he was responsible for sending the Bakugan to Earth in the first place. Nillious, having overheard his confession, suddenly appears and reprimands him for what he did back in Vestroia.

Picking up where we left off from the last episode, Nillious has found out the truth about how the Bakugan ended up on Earth in the first place. He threatens to expose the truth to all the Bakugan unless the Misfit Clan agrees to disband for good. Instead, Dan challenges Nillious to a Baku-brawl where if the former wins, the Misfit Clan won't disband, and the secret will remain intact; Nillious reluctantly agrees to it. Jeff and Melissa arrive and inform the Misfits that they shared the news about the upcoming brawl with everyone. As a result of this revelation, everyone has shown up to watch it in action, and they all seem to be rooting for the Misfits, including the other clans. As the brawl begins, Nillious is shown to be using a combination of the Gold and Titanium Evolution, dubbed as Evolution Fusion, but he becomes shocked when he discovers that Drago is also using this Evolution as well, which means that both Bakugan are now evenly matched. During the brawl, Drago gains the upper hand after proclaiming that the Misfits are the path to a future that he desires, a future where all Bakugan of different types can coexist together. Having realized that Nillious only views him as a servant, Kage refuses to help him win the brawl and declares that he's done with him. Nillious then realizes that he was the one that told Dan and Drago about Evolution Fusion before the brawl. With Nillious distracted due to Kage's betrayal, Dan gives Drago a Strength BAM and successfully defeats him. Because he used that Evolution, Drago's energy has been drained, and it's only a matter of time before he fully recovers his strength. Following the Baku-brawl against Nillious, everyone seems to love the Misfits, including Dan and Drago as they start cheering for them. That moment is short-lived, however, when Nillious spitefully exposes the truth to all the Bakugan as payback for losing the Baku-brawl (despite reluctantly accepting Dan’s deal that he wouldn't reveal the secret if he loses). Drago admits the truth to them and begins to show remorse for his actions, but despite that, everyone (including the humans) begins to despise him, including the Misfits because of what the former did back in Vestroia. Still frustrated by Kage’s betrayal, Nillious abandons him. Suddenly, a portal appears, and balls of red energy begin to corrupt some of the Bakugan, causing them to go on a rampage in the city. The Misfits attempt to ask for help from the clan leaders, but after hearing Drago’s confession, they refuse to help them, prompting them to deal with the rampaging Bakugan on their own. The Misfits put up a massive fight, but they begin to struggle in the process. In a surprising turn of events, the clan leaders, having had second thoughts, arrive to assist the Misfits, thus turning the tides in their favor, and together, they successfully defeat the rampaging Bakugan. In the aftermath, despite saving the city from the rampaging Bakugan, the clan leaders still refuse to ally with the Misfits, and that they plan to investigate the source behind this monstrosity on their own. Chip and the Task Force succeed in raiding the Misfits MOD, and the Misfits attempt to escape through an underground subway tunnel, but eventually, they are soon caught, apprehended, and brought to the neutralizer. Chip has the neutralizer activated using one of the Misfits Clan Cards, and the Misfits are forced to watch helplessly as it succeeds in neutralizing the powers of their Bakugan. One week later, the Misfits are disheartened because they can no longer pair up and brawl again due to the neutralizer that neutralized the powers of their Bakugan. A portal unexpectedly appears in the Misfits MOD, and the Misfits discover a strange orb. The mysterious hooded masked figure explains that he will restore their powers temporarily to start with, but in order to keep them permanently, they’ll have to win their brawls. At one point, Dan discovers that he can't use Evolution Fusion again because the last time Drago used it, it drained his energy by a lot, and he resorts to using Gold Evolution instead. In the midst of the brawl, Dan discovers a Gold BAM which he uses to defeat Dumbbell, and his powers are restored permanently as expected. The mysterious hooded masked figure, whose name is V congratulates Dan for winning the brawl and says that he's looking forward to the next one. Juno contacts them and leads them to the roof as their only hope of escaping. She then advises the trio to jump off the roof which they reluctantly do, and they manage to land on top of Drago as they escape from Illusion Tech. Furthermore, only three Brawlers from each clan are allowed to compete in the tournament. This leads to an argument among the Misfits about who should compete in V's tournament. Dan suggests that they compete in a series of challenges in order to determine who will compete in the tournament. The competition begins, and the Misfit's Bakugan begin to grow competitive towards each other, resulting in them competing in challenges that have nothing to do with brawling in the tournament. Next, Dan decides to settle the dispute with a Baku-brawl, which is cut short by Jasper and Murph. With the tournament happening tomorrow, Dan decides that the only way to settle things for good is to draw straws; those who draw the blue straws will get to compete in the tournament, and those who draw the red straws are out. The Misfits are angry that Juno deceived them, but instead of confronting her, Dan suggests that they pull a prank on her where he will sneak into the MOD dressed up as a burglar and scare her. He tells Bruiser to keep this a secret from her, but regardless, Bruiser inadvertently tells Juno what the Misfits are planning to do to her, mainly Dan who came up with this plan in the first place, and in retaliation, Juno plans to get back at him with a prank of her own that involves covering the floor with marbles, so when Dan sneaks into the MOD, he’ll slip on them. Before the Misfits can put their plan into motion, unaware that Juno already knows what they’re up to, Chip confronts them and brings them to the station under false assumptions that they’re planning something illegal. It is revealed that earlier, Chip got pulled off of Bakugan patrol by the General, and now he's taking his frustrations out on the Misfits for no reason. TC, who managed to slip away from Chip, returns to the MOD to warn Juno that the Misfits were arrested by him for no reason, but Juno falsely believes that he's trying to prank her. Bruiser notices that someone is here, and Juno, thinking that it's Dan, awaits his return. TC turns on the lights, and the former and Juno discover that it's not Dan, but a mysterious intruder with silver hair. The intruder attempts to kidnap TC, having become affiliated with him, only to be stopped by Juno. He challenges them to a Baku-brawl which they accept, only to discover that he's using Octogan. Despite Juno's setback due to her ankle injury, she and TC successfully defeat the intruder who leaves the MOD, promising that they’ll meet again soon enough. In the aftermath, Juno informs the other Misfits about the mysterious intruder who is after TC because he recognizes him somehow, and TC assumes that he's from his past. In the end, it is revealed that the mysterious intruder is none other than V.

Griffin and TC have lost their matches in the quarterfinals, which means that it's up to Mia and Ventri to win their match so they can move on to the semi-finals. Dan is willing to support Mia, but he ends up taking things a little too far, such as inadvertently buying twelve boxes of sparkling water for starters. While returning with more supplies, Backslash approaches Dan and challenges him to a Baku-brawl, but he declines, saying that he's too busy supporting Mia. Things only get worse when Dan distracts Mia while she's training with Griffin, and the Misfits convince him to take a break from helping the latter, much to his frustration. Realizing that Dan just needs to blow off some steam by brawling, the Misfits come up with the perfect plan to do so. Juno and Griffin trick Backslash and Dan into brawling each other by luring them to the Misfits MOD under false pretenses. During the brawl, Backslash retrieves a Gold BAM, but Dan succeeds in overpowering and disarming him, and he successfully defeats him yet again. Mia is ready for her quarterfinal match, having been training with the Misfits for a long time. One night, Ventri unexpectedly reverts to ball form and ends up rolling around the city. She is soon found by Ace who captures her all of a sudden. The next morning, Mia informs the Misfits that Ventri suddenly went missing. They receive a video message from Ace who is holding Ventri hostage. Dan advises Mia to go to the tournament while he and Juno go to reclaim Ventri from Ace. Dan and Juno arrive at the Mammal Clan's MOD in their attempt to rescue Ventri. Ace reveals that he's intending to get the Misfits disqualified from the tournament by holding onto Ventri. Determined to win Ventri back, Dan is pitted against Club. During the brawl, Dan quickly deduces that Club is stalling for time by guarding against all of his attacks to ensure the disqualification of the Misfits. Drago encourages Dan to change things up a bit, and as a result, Dan retrieves a Speed BAM for the former and successfully defeats Club. Ace reluctantly returns Ventri to Dan, but Ventri tells Dan and Juno that she's still unable to roll out. The only thing that she remembers is a strange sensation that she felt at the end of training from yesterday. Juno realizes that the data she unlocked from that hard drive, the same hard drive that Dan and Griffin retrieved from Illusion Tech contained a program similar to the neutralizer that broadcast a signal, which explains why Ventri is still unable to roll out. In the end, Mia hopes that Dan and Juno will figure out a way to free Ventri from her ball form and get her to the tournament before it's too late.

While this is happening, Mia's quarterfinal match is about to start, and Ventri is still not here. She attempts to stall for time by cracking a lot of jokes (and puns) to the crowd and her opponent Reef, with the other Misfits joining in as well. V suddenly appears and prepares to declare Reef the winner, but Ventri arrives just in time for the quarterfinal match, and it is revealed that Juno successfully hacked the encrypted file program and freed her from her ball form. During the brawl, Mia notices that Reef is using Titanium Evolution, having figured out that Ventri uses precision in her attacks. Mia counteracts his strategy with a new brawling style and retrieves a Gold BAM for Ventri, and as a result, they successfully defeat Reef.

After hearing about what brawling was like before the Bakugan paired up with Brawlers and obtained their ability to grow into giants, TC becomes sad because he doesn't remember watching these brawls. Hoping to help him regain his lost memories, Juno and Griffin show TC a device called the Rememberizer which they plan to use to unlock his memories. Juno activates the Rememberizer, but it starts to mess with TC's head, causing him to act in different ways. After being restored to normal following the failed attempt, Dan takes TC to get some food with him. TC says that even though he considers the Misfits family, he believes that there's another person out there from his old life, a person that he knew from his past before he lost his memories. Suddenly, TC begins to experience an unusual sensation in the form of a memory flash after looking at a building from across the street. Recognizing the building, he says he remembers that he was with someone and rushes outside towards it, with Dan and the other Bakugan in pursuit. After catching up with TC, Drago recognizes the building from the place where the Misfits first battled the rampaging Bakugan. TC continues to experience the memory flash that occurred during the Bakugan rampage. He remembers that his real name is Andrew, and that he was saved by the mysterious person who found him under a pile of wood from a fallen structure, making him believe that something bad happened to him during that event. This results in a heated argument, and as a result, Dan and Mia refuse to talk to each other. The Misfits receive a video message from V who reveals that he's issuing tag-team matches during the semi-final round of the tournament. This means that the semi-finalists must choose a member of their own clan to fight alongside them, a member who hasn't participated in the tournament yet. Juno declines to partner up with Mia as an excuse to force her and Dan to partner up with each other, hoping that they’ll make up at some point in order to win this brawl. The semi-final match will be between Dan and Mia, and Kettlebell and Superset. During the brawl, Dan and Mia struggle to win due to their lack of teamwork. Drago and Ventri refuse to cooperate with their partners because they can't stand them bickering all the time. This is the reason why everyone else had their abilities restored, including the Misfits. Furthermore, V reveals to the Misfits that he stole the Cogito Drive from them and plans to use it for his own purposes. At one point, Drago tries but fails to convince Nillious that the power of the Cogito Drive is too dangerous for him to use. After much negotiation about the high stakes of this match, V says that if he wins, he will give Ventri the choice to either join him or continue to stay with the Misfits; Mia and Ventri choose to accept his terms. During the brawl, Mia is struggling because she's not familiar with V's BAM zone that he created. For instance, V uses a new BAM that he created to his advantage that gives Bakugan like Nillious the ability to clone themselves. The Misfits are sad that Ventri chose to go with V for no reason. Griffin assumes that V is controlling her with his mask, plus the Cogito Drive, which is how he was able to pair up with Nillious in the first place. The Misfits discover a video message as they witness the clan leaders battling V who defeats them all easily, and puts their Bakugan under his control. Juno theorizes that V's BAM zone, which is connected to his mask, is infecting the Bakugan who interact with it, which means that they might be able to counteract it. Juno and Griffin arrive at the MOD and witness Ace battling against V, and the former decides to use that distraction in an attempt to analyze the BAM zone. Griffin joins the brawl at Juno's behest in order to buy her some time, and the latter begins to analyze the BAM zone, hoping to find something that will help them free Ventri and possibly the other Bakugan from V's control. While this is happening, V succeeds in defeating Ace and puts his Bakugan under his control, leaving Griffin as the last Brawler standing. Juno continues to analyze the BAM zone, but she is unable to find anything suspicious about it. V discovers her, and Juno and Griffin flee from his MOD, leaving the Misfits at a dead end. Hoping to find someone else that can help them personally, they visit Mia's Dad at Illusion Tech and ask him for his help in stopping V before he takes control of all the Bakugan; Mr. Ono happily agrees to help the Misfits for Mia's sake. While looking over the footage of the brawl that occurred at V's MOD, the Misfits notice a color change in the Bakugan's eyes, indicating that they’re definitely under his control, and Mr. Ono deduces that V is using some kind of dangerous technology that not only controls Bakugan, but it also mimics the link to a Brawler. In the end, Dan and Drago decide to take a huge risk and brawl against V and Nillious as their only hope of freeing Ventri and figuring out how she was brainwashed in the first place.

However, V is completely unaware that Drago is only pretending to be under his control as originally planned by the Misfits. It is revealed that earlier, Mr. Ono told the Misfits that they should create a vaccination device to block V's virus. The Misfits plan to have Drago lose on purpose so he can pretend to be brainwashed by V and go undercover to free Ventri and the other Bakugan. Mr. Ono, Juno, and Griffin succeeded in creating the device, but it's not quite ready yet. He says that they will need an analysis of the arena's network from the inside in order for the vaccination device to work properly, which is what Juno obtained before the brawl. Griffin and Mr. Ono then worked on the device by programming it with the data that Juno obtained from the arena. Following its completion, Griffin then delivered it to Drago during his excuse. Now it's up to Drago to find Ventri and figure out a way to free her and possibly the other Bakugan from V's control.

He then informs them that he has discovered how V is controlling the Bakugan before losing their signal, indicating that V is onto him. Persuaded by Jasper, Drago manages to revert to ball form and escapes confinement just before Nillious arrives, having discovered that Drago deceived him by pretending that he was under V's control. Drago then reunites with the Misfits just before V arrives, angered that they somehow managed to contract his virus. He then summons the infected Bakugan and a battle ensues between him and the Misfits. The Misfits shockingly discover that V is TC's older brother. V, whose real name is Vakar, begins to explain their backstory. They used to live with their parents who were once engineers who taught them everything. They were destined to make the world a better place and help those in need. For example, their parents were working on a filtration system that would purify polluted water in struggling regions, which meant that Vakar had to look after TC/Andrew all the time. They soon learned that their parents got fired from Illusion Tech because they didn't want to waste their money on their ideas, which left them to develop their ideas on their own. Their mother once told them that if they want the world to change, they’ll have to change it themselves, together. When the Bakugan arrived on Earth, one of the meteorites destroyed their house, killing their parents in the process. Only TC/Andrew survived, and it became Vakar's responsibility to look after him. Vakar learned that humanity welcomed Bakugan with open arms, which made them forget everything that they lost during that day. Therefore, he started to blame the Bakugan for "breaking this world" and sought revenge on them (He gave TC one half of his pendant to serve as a reminder of what he intends to do next). Vakar and TC/Andrew then visited Illusion Tech in an attempt to ask for help, but they remained ignorant of their parents and refused their request. This led the former to take matters into his own hands. Vakar says that thanks to the programming skills he learned from their parents, he was able to steal from Illusion Tech and utilized their technology for his own inventions in order to make enough money to support himself and his brother. TC realizes that he was the one that stole the Vestroian tech from that company in the first place, including all sorts of data from their Bakugan research. Intending to use this data that he stole from Illusion Tech to change the world, Vakar created a whole new program and transferred it to a device that he plans to use to take his revenge on the Bakugan and the world that abandoned him and his brother by taking control of the Bakugan themselves. While testing his device on a couple of Bakugan, he failed to control them because he didn't perfect it after all, which led to the first Bakugan rampage. An incident occurred during the rampage in which TC/Andrew was badly injured after Vakar saved him from falling rubble and woke up in the hospital with amnesia. Because he was covered in Vestroian particles, TC/Andrew was sent to Illusion Tech for further experimentation. Vakar couldn't find him on that day, so he focused solely on his work. He says that he created this tournament in the first place in order to gather the strongest Bakugan from each clan and turn them into his pawns, and now he wants TC/Andrew by his side once again in order to fulfill his ultimate goal of changing the world now that he has the power to control the Bakugan against their will. In the end, Vakar attempts to sway TC over to his side, leaving him at a standstill.

Luckily, Bruiser suggests that they harness the energy from a Bakugan. He speculates that Bakugan produce energy when they grow into their giant forms; therefore he believes that they might be able to obtain that energy by rolling out and using the neutralizer at the same time without destroying the lab. Deciding to take that risk, Juno and Griffin roll out their Bakugan just as Mr. Ono activates the neutralizer at the same time. Simultaneously, all of the Brawlers and their Bakugan continue to struggle in their attempt to defend the city due to V’s advantage where he turned the entire city into a huge battle arena. Griffin and Juno soon arrive to help Dan, and the former gives him a weapon equipped with vaccine that he can use to cure the infected Bakugan. Now that they have an advantage, the Misfits use the vaccinated weapons on the BAM’s which the Bakugan then use to cure the infected. Afterwards, Dan and TC attempt to get through to V by persuading him to abandon his lustful desire to change the world in his own image. TC says that they can start over again, and that they can still change the world by bringing people together for starters, which is what their mother wanted all along. Touched by his brothers words, Vakar’s mask falls off due to his emotions, and it is implied that he has reformed himself, having realized the error of his ways.
