Balala Hakkula Sangham is an Indian Community [1] that protects the rights of children. They oppose child marriage, sexual abuse [2] [3] and child labour. The community was founded in 1985. In July 2020 Balala Hakkula Sangham founder P Achyuta Rao died due to Covid. [4]
The chief officer is Achyuta Rao. [5] [6] The sangham conducts a 2k walk with girls to oppose child marriage and allow girls to complete their studies before marriage. [7] In the year 2018 the major demand for the walk saw thousands of girls participating to raise the minimum age for marriage of girls from 18 years to 21 years. [8] The purpose of the walk also includes issues like child abuse, child labour and girl's education. It conducts cultural activities, competitions, and short film contests for children and supporting them in all aspects other than studies. [9]

Pendyala Varavara Rao is an Indian activist, poet, teacher, and writer from Telangana, India. He is an accused in the 2018 Bhima Koregaon violence and has been arrested under the non-bailable Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Rao was arrested on the charge of plotting to assassinate Indian prime minister, possibly based upon planted evidence. In August 2022, he was released on bail by the Supreme Court of India, on medical grounds.

Andhra Mahasabha was a people's organisation in the erstwhile Hyderabad state of India. It was an association started by Telugu people of Telangana region against Nizam rule. The people of Telangana formed the Andhra Mahasabha as they could not tolerate the injustice being done to the Telugu language and Telugu culture. In the late 1920s, under the leadership of Madapati Hanumantha Rao, the Telugu people united and formed a union and organized 13 Andhra Mahasabhas from 1930 to 1945. The activities of the Andhra Mahasabha in the Telangana region created awareness among the people against the Nizam and led to the armed struggle in Telangana. Hyderabad Queer Pride has been celebrated on one of the Sundays in February since 2013. First held on 3 February 2013, Hyderabad became the 12th Indian city to join the Queer pride march bandwagon, fourteen years after the first Indian pride march was held in Kolkata. Telangana Lokayukta is the parliamentary ombudsman formed by the erstwhile of Andhra Pradesh under the Andhra Pradesh Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayuktas Act, 83 and adapted by Telangana after getting bifurcated from Andhra Pradesh. In May 2022, the gang rape of a 17-year-old girl in Road no. 44, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, sparked outrage across Telangana and India. The minor girl returning home after attending a get-together at Amnesia pub was gang-raped by six persons, including five minors in Jubilee Hills area of the State capital. All the accused were arrested by police from their separate hideouts.
