The Ballet Municipal de Lima is Peru's classical ballet company, based in the capital city of Lima.
The Ballet Municipal de Lima was founded in 1983 by Lucy Telge de Linder, who remains the current Director of the company. Although the company is a small one by international standards (48 dancers during the 2011-2012 season), it is a professional company that performs regularly in Lima, as well as touring throughout Latin America. The company's repertoire includes classical ballet standards such as Giselle , Swan Lake , La Sylphide , Coppélia , Romeo and Juliet , La Fille Mal Gardee , Le Corsaire , and several others. [2]

Inca Kola is a soft drink that was created in Peru in 1935 by British immigrant Joseph Robinson Lindley. The soda has a sweet, fruity flavor that somewhat resembles its main ingredient, lemon verbena. Americans compare its flavor to bubblegum or cream soda. Sometimes categorized as a champagne cola, it has been described as "an acquired taste" whose "intense color alone is enough to drive away the uninitiated."
The Peru national football team represents Peru in men's international football. The national team has been organised, since 1927, by the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF). The National University of San Marcos is a public research university in Lima, the capital of Peru. Also known as the University of Peru and the "Dean University of the Americas", it is the first officially established and the oldest continuously operating university in the Americas. Since its foundation, it was commonly referred as the "Royal and Pontifical University of the City of the Kings of Lima" until the Viceroyalty period and as of now, it is referred to as Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos or La Decana de América.
Club Alianza Lima, popularly known as Alianza Lima or simply Alianza, is a Peruvian professional sports club based in La Victoria District of Lima, Peru. It is widely known for having one of the most historical and successful football teams of Peru; they have won a total of twenty-three league titles of the Peruvian Primera División and was the oldest team playing in that competition, since the club was founded in 1901. The club currently competes in the Liga 2, the second division of Peruvian football.
Club Universitario de Deportes, popularly known as Universitario and La "U", is a Peruvian football club located in Lima. The club was founded in 1924 under the name Federación Universitaria by students of the National University of San Marcos but was forced to rename in 1931. Since 1928, the club competes in the top tier of Peruvian football, the Torneo Descentralizado. In 2000, they opened the 85,000-capacity stadium Estadio Monumental, currently the largest stadium in Peru and South America, retiring their smaller Estadio Teodoro Lolo Fernández. Universitario and Alianza Lima participate in the Peruvian Clásico, which has its roots in the club's first participation in the Primera División in 1928. It also has rivalries with Sporting Cristal, Deportivo Municipal, and Sport Boys.
Tapacarí is a town and the capital of Tapacarí Province in Cochabamba Department, Bolivia. It is located at an elevation of 2,997 m. At the time of census 2001 it had a population of 411. Teodoro Fernández Meyzán, nicknamed "Lolo", was a Peruvian football striker. He was part of the Peru national football team that reached quarter-finals in the 1936 Summer Olympics and won the 1939 Copa America, a tournament where he emerged as the top scorer and best player. He was captain of the Peru national football team from 1935 to 1947 scoring 24 goals in 32 matches.

Pedro Alejandrino del Solar Gabans was a Peruvian lawyer, journalist and diplomat. He was born in Lima, Peru. He graduated from the National University of San Marcos and served on its faculty. He served as the President of the Chamber of Deputies from May 1886 to June 1886. He was three-time Prime Minister of Peru. He served as the first vice president from 1890 to 1894. He also served as minister of justice, and in the Senate of Peru.
