Michael Stock is an English songwriter, record producer, musician, and member of the songwriting and production trio Stock Aitken Waterman. He has written and/or produced 18 No. 1 records in America and the UK, over a hundred top-40 hits and is recognised as one of the most successful songwriters of all time by the Guinness World Records. As part of Stock Aitken Waterman in the 1980s and 90s, he holds the UK record of 11 number one records with different acts. In the UK Singles Chart he has written 54 top-ten hits including 7 number ones.

Smokie are an English rock band from Bradford, Yorkshire. The band found success at home and abroad after teaming up with Mike Chapman and Nicky Chinn. They have had a number of lineup changes and were still actively touring in 2023. Their most popular hit single, "Living Next Door to Alice", peaked at No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart and, in March 1977, reached No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as going to No. 1 on the Australian singles chart. Other hit singles include "If You Think You Know How to Love Me", "Oh Carol", "Lay Back in the Arms of Someone", and "I'll Meet You at Midnight".
"Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White" or "Cerezo Rosa" or "Ciliegi Rosa" or "Gummy Mambo", is the English version of "Cerisiers Roses et Pommiers Blancs", a popular song with music by Louiguy written in 1950. French lyrics to the song by Jacques Larue and English lyrics by Mack David both exist, and recordings of both have been quite popular.

2 Puerto Ricans, a Blackman and a Dominican was a short-lived house music group featuring David Morales and Robert Clivillés, David Cole (Black), and Chep Nuñez (Dominican). In 1987, they scored a hit in dance clubs with their debut song, "Do It Properly," the only release on Grooveline Records. The track was inspired by Cole and Bruce Forest's DJ sets at New York club Better Days, where they would mix Adonis' "No Way Back" with scratching, other songs, and samples. Cole, Clivillés, and Morales all performed at Better Days in the late 1980s. The single was released in the UK on the London Records label; it entered the UK singles chart on June 13, 1987, and reached a peak of number 47, remaining in the chart for four weeks. In 1988, Clivillés and Cole recorded a sequel called "So Many Ways " with the Brat Pack on Vendetta/A&M Records. "Do It Properly" was covered again by vocalist Deborah Cooper, who later worked with C+C Music Factory, in 1999, for The Collaboration.
"Southern Freeez" produced by John Rocca was the first single released by British dance band Freeez from their debut album, also entitled Southern Freeez. The album was self-funded by member John Rocca and initially released on his Pink Rhythm record label before the group was signed to Beggars Banquet.
Bang was a Greek male vocal duo, consisting of Paul Stevens and Billy Adams (keyboards). They had chart success with the single "You're the One", released on the RCA label. It entered the UK Singles Chart on 6 May 1989, reaching #74. It was in the chart for two weeks. The B-side of the 7" version was "Don't Burn Down the Bridge", with the 12" having an additional instrumental version.
David Austin is a British singer and songwriter, who released the single "Turn to Gold", co-written with George Michael in 1984. It reached No. 68 in the UK Singles Chart. The single featured backing vocals from Michael, who called Austin his best friend in the documentary film, A Different Story.
Baby O was a UK male vocal/instrumental pop group. The band members were Steve Lukather from Toto on guitar, Paulinho da Costa on percussion, Greg Mathieson, who went to produce Sheena Easton's 1985 classic "Sugar Walls," on keyboards, and future actor Miguel Ferrer on drums.
The Band AKA were an American male vocal/instrumental group of session musicians based in Los Angeles, California who were active during the 1980s. The membership of The Band AKA was fluid throughout their existence and essentially they were creation of their producer and songwriter Jaeson James Jarrett.
Arthur Adams is an American blues guitarist from Medon, Tennessee. Inspired by B.B. King and other 1950s artists, he played gospel music before attending college. He moved to Los Angeles, and during the 1960s and 1970s he released solo albums and worked as a session musician. In 1985 he was tapped to tour on bass guitar with Nina Simone, and he staged a comeback in the 1990s when he released Back on Track, and became a respected Chicago blues player and bandleader in B.B. King's clubs.
Big Bam Boo were a British/Canadian male pop duo, comprising Simon Tedd and Shark. The band released their debut LP, Fun Faith & Fairplay on MCA/Uni in 1989. Tedd later changed his name to Simon Scardanelli.
Tyrone Brunson was an American singer and musician, who played the bass guitar. One of his most successful singles was an electro-funk instrumental titled "The Smurf" (1982), which reached #14 on the Billboard R&B chart in 1983 and led to further dance records about The Smurfs.
