Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Academy is a special governmental educational institute that provides training on law and administration to civil servants in Bangladesh and is located in Shahbag, Dhaka, Bangladesh. [1] [2] [3] [4]

History

Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Academy was established on 21 October 1987 to provide training Bangladesh Civil Service cadets. The building it occupies was the Gazetted Officers' Training Academy before 1971 when Bangladesh was part of Pakistan. After Independence it became the Civil Officers' Training Academy. Students at the academy come after completing their compulsory courses at the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre. From 1989 to 1996 BCS foreign service cadets were trained here. The Indian Military Academy (IMA) is the oldest Military Academy in India, and trains officers for the Indian Army. Located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, it was established in 1932 following a recommendation by a military committee set up under the chairmanship of General Sir Philip Chetwode. From a class of 40 male cadets in 1932, IMA now has a sanctioned capacity of 1,650. Cadets undergo a training course varying between 3 and 16 months depending on entry criteria. On completion of the course at IMA cadets are permanently commissioned into the army as Lieutenants.

The Pakistan Air ForceAcademyAsghar Khan is an accredited three-year military academy which provides undergraduate education to officer candidates for the Pakistan Air Force. The eligible and selected candidates from all over Pakistan are sent to PAF Academy Risalpur for flying training. It is located in the town of Risalpur in Nowshera District of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan, it is a premier cadet training institution of the Pakistan Air Force which offers academic professional degrees. Its role is the training of General Duty Pilots (GDP), Aeronautical and Avionics Engineers and the initial training of other Ground Branch cadets. Cadets of all branches join the academy following a recommendation by the Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) of Pakistan and the Air Headquarters Special Selection Board for Short Service Commission candidates. Graduates of the Academy's four-year program receive a Bachelor of Science degree, and are commissioned as Pilot Officers in the Pakistan Air Force.

Bangladesh Military Academy

Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) is the officers training institute for the officer cadets of Bangladesh Army. It is located in Bhatiary, near Chittagong Hill Tracts, in the Chittagong District of south-east Bangladesh, about 13 kilometres north of Chittagong. The academy is situated on the slopes of the Sitakunda hill ranges and the shore of the Bay of Bengal.

Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration Government institute for civil servants in India

Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) is a civil service training institute on public policy and public administration in India. The academy's main purpose is to train civil servants of the IAS cadre and also conduct the Foundation Course of Group-A Central Civil Services. After completion of training, the trainee officers of IAS cadre are awarded an MA from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. The Bangladesh Air Force Academy is located in the district town of Jashore at Matiur Rahman Air Force Base. An air officer serves as its Commandant.
