Barret Rex Peery (born April 3, 1971) is an American college basketball coach and current assistant coach at UNLV. He was formerly the head coach at Portland State. [1]
Peery played college basketball at Snow College for two seasons before transferring to Southern Utah, where he was a part of two American West Conference championship squads.
After graduation, Peery assisted at Southern Utah for one season before returning to Snow College for another season as an assistant coach. After a stop at Utah Valley, Peery returned as an assistant at Southern Utah before taking an assistant coaching position at Portland State from 2002 to 2003. Peery then served as an assistant coach at College of Southern Idaho from 2003 to 2005 under Gib Arnold, before taking over as the head coach from 2005 to 2008. In that time, Peery compiled an 85-19 record and was a two-time NJCAA Region 18 Coach of the Year, while also making the NCJAA National Tournament semifinals during the 2006–07 season. [2] In 2008, Peery moved back to the NCAA Division I ranks to join Jim Boylen's staff at Utah where he stayed until 2011, before heading to Indian Hills Community College as head coach, and led them to a 93-11 record in three seasons. Peery joined Herb Sendek's staff at Arizona State in 2014, and rejoined Sendek again at Santa Clara before being named the head coach at Portland State. [3]

Herbert Joseph Sendek Jr. is an American college basketball coach who is the current men's basketball head coach at Santa Clara.
Portland State Vikings is the nickname of the NCAA-affiliated, intercollegiate athletic teams representing Portland State University of Portland, Oregon. The Vikings compete at the NCAA Division I level in basketball, soccer, volleyball, golf, tennis, softball, indoor and outdoor track and field, and cross country. The university has been a member of the Big Sky Conference since 1996. Along with the other Big Sky football programs, Viking football takes-part in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), formerly known as NCAA Division I-AA.
The Santa Clara Broncos men's basketball team represents Santa Clara University in NCAA Division I basketball competition. The team plays home games at the Leavey Center in Santa Clara, California and have been members of the West Coast Conference since its formation in 1952. The team is currently coached by Herb Sendek, who had previously been the head coach at NC State and Arizona State. Sendek was hired on March 29, 2016.
The 2013–14 Portland Pilots men's basketball team represented the University of Portland during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Pilots, led by eighth-year head coach Eric Reveno, played their home games at the Chiles Center and were members of the West Coast Conference. They finished the season 15–16, 7–11 in WCC play to finish in a tie for sixth place. They lost in the first round of the West Coast Conference tournament to Loyola Marymount.

Leonard Perry Jr. is an American college basketball coach, currently head coach at the University of the Pacific. Originally from Dallas, Perry played college basketball at McLennan Community College and the University of Idaho. As a senior at Idaho playing under head coach Larry Eustachy, Perry was the starting point guard on the 1991 Big Sky Conference Tournament championship team that appeared in the 1991 NCAA Tournament.
Ali-Marie "JR" Payne is an American college basketball coach who is currently head women's coach at Colorado.
The 2014–15 Portland Pilots women's basketball team will represent the University of Portland in the 2014–15 college basketball season. It was head coach Cheryl Sorensen's first season as head coach at Portland. The Pilots were members of the West Coast Conference and play their home games at the Chiles Center. They finished the season 4–26, 2–16 in WCC play to finish in last place. They lost in the first round of the WCC women's tournament to Santa Clara.
The 2015–16 Santa Clara Broncos men's basketball team represented Santa Clara University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This was head coach Kerry Keating's ninth season at Santa Clara. The Broncos played their home games at the Leavey Center and were members of the West Coast Conference. They finished the season 11–20, 7–11 in WCC play to finish in sixth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the WCC tournament to BYU.

The Vikings, led by eighth-year head coach Tyler Geving, played their home games at the Peter Stott Center as members of the Big Sky Conference. They finished the season 15–16, 7–11 in Big Sky play to finish in a tie for eighth place. As the No. 8 seed in the Big Sky tournament, they defeated Northern Arizona in the first round before losing to top-seeded North Dakota in the quarterfinals.
Mark Criner is an American football coach. He currently serves as the outside linebackers coach for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles football team. At the college football level, he served defensive coordinator for six seasons at the University of Idaho, and also held the same position at Middle Tennessee, Cincinnati, Portland State, the original XFL's Las Vegas Outlaws, and CSU–Pueblo. He has also worked as a defensive assistant at Minnesota, Eastern Michigan, Utah State, Lamar, LSU, the Alliance of American Football's Atlanta Legends, and Tulane. He was also the linebackers coach and assistant special teams coach for the Seattle Dragons.

The Eagles were led by first-year head coach Shantay Legans and played their home games at Reese Court in Cheney, Washington as members of the Big Sky Conference. They defeated Sacramento State in the first round of the Big Sky tournament before losing in the quarterfinals to Eastern Washington. They were invited to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where, after a first round bye, lost in the second round to San Diego.

The Vikings, led by second-year head coach Barret Peery, played their return home games at Viking Pavilion in Portland, Oregon after a one year renovation, as members of the Big Sky Conference. They finished the season 16–16, 11–9 in Big Sky play to finish in a three-way tie for fourth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky tournament to Weber State.
The 2019–20 BYU Cougars men's basketball team represented Brigham Young University in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. It was head coach Mark Pope's first season as BYU's head coach and the Cougars ninth season as members of the West Coast Conference (WCC). The Cougars played their home games at the Marriott Center in Provo, Utah. They finished the season 24–8, 13–3 in WCC play to finish in second place. They lost in the semifinals of the WCC tournament to Saint Mary's. Despite being a virtual lock to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament, all postseason play was cancelled amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jase Coburn is an American basketball coach who is currently the head coach at Portland State University. He was promoted in 2021 after eight seasons as an assistant with the program, and was a coach at the high school and junior college ranks before joining Portland State.
The 2021–22 West Coast Conference men's basketball season will begin with practices in September 2021 and will end with the 2022 West Coast Conference men's basketball tournament in March 2022. This will be the 71st season for WCC men's basketball, and the 33nd under its current name of "West Coast Conference". The conference was founded in 1952 as the California Basketball Association, became the West Coast Athletic Conference in 1956, and dropped the word "Athletic" in 1989.
