Bastiaan Paschier (Bas) Paternotte (born 1 September 1976 in Drachten) is a Dutch political reporter for the blogs ThePostOnline.nl (formerly DeJaap.nl) [1] and GeenStijl and formerly for the magazine HP/De Tijd. [2] and a political commentator on the PowNed radio programme Echte Jannen [3] (segment: Haagse Geluid met Bas Paternotte) on Radio 1. [4]

He used to be a political journalist for the Dutch Metro newspaper.

GeenStijl Dutch blog

GeenStijl is a Dutch blog founded on 10 April 2003. The logo is a pink coloured crown within a circle. In the Dutch language, the term "geen stijl" is used to describe an act by a person or organisation that lacks style or manners.

<i>PowNed</i> Dutch public broadcaster

PowNed is a Dutch broadcaster, which transmits radio and television programmes on the Netherlands Public Broadcasting system.

WNL is a broadcasting association which produces radio and television programmes within the framework of the Dutch public broadcasting system NPO. It was founded on 16 February 2009 as a right-wing conservative counterweight to a perceived leftist bias in Dutch public broadcasting, and its first programme was transmitted on 6 September 2010. Both WNL and PowNed have links to the media company Mediahuis Nederland.

Niels Heithuis is a Dutch journalist and radio presenter. Currently, he hosts an investigative news show on NPO Radio 1 and weekend breakfast on classical radio NPO Radio 4. He won the 2008 Marconi Award, an industry prize for best radio program.

Article 50 was a Eurosceptic political party in the Netherlands. The party was founded by MEP Daniël van der Stoep in 2012. The name refers to article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, of which the first sentence is "Any Member State may decide to withdraw from the Union in accordance with its own constitutional requirements", as well as article 50 of the Constitution of the Netherlands, which states that "[t]he States General shall represent the entire people of the Netherlands." On 27 January 2015, the party merged into For the Netherlands, and therefore Article 50 ceased to exist.

VoorNederland was a Dutch political party. It was previously active in the House of Representatives of the Netherlands as the Group Bontes/Van Klaveren, a parliamentary group founded in April 2014. The parliamentary group was succeeded by a political party in May 2014. After failing to garner win a single seat in the 2017 general election the party disbanded.

Qmusic is a Dutch commercial radio station which has been broadcasting since 31 August 2005. The station is owned by the Belgian media company DPG Media.

Ben Swagerman

Ben Swagerman is a Dutch politician and former prosecutor. Swagerman was a member of the Senate for the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy between June 2011 and June 2015 and served once more from November 2015 to July 2016. He has been chair of the BOA-platform since 1 January 2020.

JA21 Dutch political party

JA21 is a political party in the Netherlands, currently active in the Senate as the Nanninga Group. It was founded in December 2020 by Joost Eerdmans and Annabel Nanninga after leaving Forum for Democracy on 26 November 2020. The party participated in the general election on 17 March 2021.

Laurens Antonius Josephus Maria Dassen is a Dutch politician and former banker. Dassen grew up in Knegsel, studied business administration at Radboud University Nijmegen and worked for ABN AMRO for six years. He has been a member of Volt Netherlands since its foundation in 2018 and was elected to the House of Representatives as his party's lijsttrekker in the 2021 general election.
