The Basilica of Ballsh (Albanian : Bazilika e Ballshit) is a Cultural Monument of Albania, located in Ballsh, Fier County. [1]
Mallakastër is a region and a municipality in Fier County, southwestern Albania. It was created in 2015 by the merger of the present municipalities Aranitas, Ballsh, Fratar, Greshicë, Hekal, Kutë, Ngraçan, Qendër Dukas and Selitë. The seat of the municipality is the town Ballsh. The total population is 27,062, in a total area of 329.37 km2. It is coterminous with the former Mallakastër District.
Mallakastër District was one of the 36 districts of Albania, which were dissolved in July 2000 and replaced by 12 newly created counties. It had a population of 39,881 in 2001, and an area of 325 km2 (125 sq mi). It is in the south of the country, and its capital was the town of Ballsh. The area of the former district is coextensive with the present municipality of Mallakastër, which is part of Fier County.

He was also a member of the Albania national team from 1996 to 1999.
The 2009 Albanian Cup final was the 57th final of the Albanian Cup. The final was played at Niko Dovana Stadium in Durrës on 6 May 2009. The match was contested by Tirana, who beat Elbasani in their semi-final, and Flamurtari who beat Shkumbini. After Rezart Dabulla opened the scoring with a header after 42 minutes, Devis Mema equalised in the 65th minute before Hair Zeqiri scored the winner in the 92nd minute to give Flamurtari their third Albanian Cup success.
Ballsh-Hekal oil field is an Albanian oil field that was discovered in 1967, which is also when production from the field started. It is a big on-shore oil field in Albania. Its proven reserves are about 135 million barrels. The Ballsh-Hekal oil field is located 30 kilometres (19 mi) south east of the city of Fier in south central Albania. It produces about 550 barrels per day (87 m3/d).
The Epitaph of Gllavenica is a 14th-century epitaph, written on a shroud, and embroidered by a monk named Savia from Ballsh, Albania. Its name stems from the ancient name of Ballsh. The shroud is made of silk, linen and gold, and symbolizes the burial cloth of Jesus, used in Orthodox Good Friday's processions.
The 2010–11 season was Klubi i Futbollit Tirana's 72nd competitive season, 72nd consecutive season in the Kategoria Superiore, and 90th year in existence as a football club.
