The Men's Basketball Tournament at the 2014 Lusophony Games was the 3rd Lusophony Games basketball tournament, played under the rules of FIBA, the world governing body for basketball. The tournament was hosted by India from 23 to 27 January 2014.

Contents

India ended the round-robin tournament with a 4–0 unbeaten record to win their first title.

The Lusofonia Games is a multinational multi-sport event organized by the ACOLOP, which involves athletes coming from Lusophone (Portuguese-speaking) countries. Most countries competing are countries that are members of the CPLP, but some are countries with significant Portuguese communities or have a history with Portugal.

Divya Singh is former captain of the Indian National Women's Basketball Team. Singh led the Indian women's basketball team at the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games. She is known for her game skills, leadership qualities, academic strength and personality. She has done sports management at the University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware, (UD) in the year 2008 to 2010 and worked as a Women's basketball assistant coach for UD. She was assistant coach of the Under 16 Indian Men's basketball team which participated in Vietnam 2011. She was the assistant coach of the Indian Men's team when India won the bronze medal in Lusophony Games in Goa. She was also a part of the Indian National Women's Basketball Team as an assistant coach in the 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014.

The Football tournament of the 2009 Lusophony Games was played in Lisbon, Portugal. The venue was the Estádio José Gomes and Estádio Nacional. The tournament was played from 11 to 19 July 2009, and there was just the men's competition.
