Dui Prithibi is a 2010 Bengali road movie directed by Raj Chakraborty and stars Jeet, Dev, Koel Mallick and Barkha Bisht Sengupta in the lead roles. It was the highest grossing Bengali film of 2010. A remake of the Telugu film Gamyam, Dui Prithibi brought two of the biggest stars of Bengali cinema, Jeet and Dev, together for the only time on the celluloid.

Paglu 2 is a 2012 Indian Bengali romantic action comedy film directed by Sujit Mondal starring Dev and Koel Mallick in lead roles. This is the sequel to the Paglu series but storywise not a sequel of Paglu. A major portion of this movie has been shot in Dubai. This film is a remake of 2011 Telugu film Kandireega, directed by Santosh Srinivas and starring Ram and Hansika Motwani, which was remade in 2014 as Main Tera Hero starring Varun Dhawan, Ileana D'Cruz, Nargis Fakhri.

Sujit Mondal is an Indian film director in Bengali cinema. He started his career as an assistant director. From 2009, he started directing Bengali feature films with Saat Paake Bandha. His also directed Franchise of Paglu 2 (2012). Mondal was chief assistant director for Raaz, 2002 and Ghulam (film), 1998.

Soham Chakraborty, is an Indian actor, producer, television personality and politician. He has appeared in more than 100 Bengali films, as child artist and as male lead. He earned numerous accolades, including Uttam Kumar Awards, BFJA Awards and Star Jalsha Entertainment Awards. Chakraborty has a significant following in West Bengal, Assam and other adjacent states in India and Bangladesh. He is a member of All India Trinamool Congress. He contested 2016 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election from Borjora Constituency. He won the General election 2021 from Chandipur Vidhansabha Constituency by a margin of 14000 votes. He was sworn in as Member of Legislative Assembly on 2 May 2021.

Sayantika Banerjee is an Indian actress who is known for her work in Bengali cinema. She has been praised by the critics for her acting and dance skills. In 2012 she was in the Bengali film Awara, which was commercially successful. She joined Trinamool Congress (TMC), ahead of Assembly elections 2021 in West Bengal.
