Beatrice Prize

The Beatrice Prisen was founded in 1983 by Birthe and Paul Beckett. The prize is awarded annually by the Danish Academy, it is currently DKK 50,000. The prize is handed to an author who writes either lyrics or prose, and whose "published books already have a quality, which there is reason to appreciate, and where there is reason to believe, that he or she will develop further." [1]

DK: King of Swing is a 2005 puzzle-platform game developed by Paon and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance. King of Swing diverges from the gameplay of other games in the Donkey Kong series, instead featuring characters rotating around pegs to progress similar to the NES game Clu Clu Land. moi Caprice Mike and Keith

moi Caprice is an indie rock band from Denmark. Current members are Michael Møller, David Brunsgaard, Casper Henning Hansen, Jacob Funch and Fridolin Nordsø. The band, formed as early as 1993 as Concrete Puppet Frog, rose to visibility in 1997 as the first unsigned band to top the Danish alternative music charts in 1997, despite the lack of a released studio album. The band has remained active, releasing five albums beginning in 2003, and by touring internationally, including performances in Canada and Vietnam. After their fourth studio album, We Had Faces Then released in 2008, the band members drifted apart. After a twelve year hiatus the band re-emerged with their fifth studio album, Becoming Visible in 2020, and has since then released multiple EPs and singles. Their last studio album, Nine Lives, released in 2022.

Paul Henderson III was an American journalist and private investigator. In both roles, he helped win the freedom of 14 wrongfully convicted people, with nearly all being murder cases. He won the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting in 1982 as a reporter for The Seattle Times.

Aksel (Axel) Einar (Ejnar) Utzon-Frank was a Danish sculptor and professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. During his lifetime, he produced many sculptures, some of which stand as public monuments. Utzon-Frank was son of Jens Christian Frank and Anna Cathrine Utzon. Anna Cathrine was sister to the grandfather of Pritzker Prize-winning architect Jørn Utzon.

It has up to 20 members, currently 18, and is based at Rungstedlund, the former home of author Karen Blixen who was one of the original members. The Academy runs a number of annual literary prizes including most notably its Grand Prize.

The 2019–20 Danish Superliga was the 30th season of the Danish Superliga. F.C. Copenhagen were the defending champions. The season started on 12 July 2019 and was scheduled to end in May 2020, before being suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The season instead ended on 29 July 2020.

Sven Holm was a Danish author and playwright. Holm graduated from Herlufsholm School in 1958. His first short story collection, Den store fjende, was published in 1961. In 1974, Holm was awarded the Grand Prize of the Danish Academy. He was awarded the Holberg Medal in 1991. In 2001, Holm was made a member of the Danish Academy. That same year, he was awarded the Danish Critics Prize for Literature for his short story collection Kanten af himlen.

Beatrice d’Este was an Italian noblewoman, now primarily known for Dante Alighieri's allusion to her in Purgatorio, the second canticle of the Divine Comedy. Through her first marriage to Nino Visconti, she was judge (giudichessa) of Gallura, and through her second marriage to Galeazzo I Visconti, following Nino’s death, lady of Milan.
