Beckenham School of Art was an English art school located at 20 Beckenham Road, Kent from 1908 to 1962. [1]

History

Beckenham School of Art was founded in 1908, and was located at 20 Beckenham Road, Beckenham, Kent. It amalgamated with Bromley School of Art and Sidcup School of Art to become Ravensbourne University London in July 1962. [2]

Paul Wager is a British painter and sculptor who studied at Sunderland and Newcastle Polytechnics, then the Royal College of Art. He was assistant to the sculptor Lynn Chadwick and taught at Cheltenham and Winchester Schools of Art; Central School of Art & Design; then sculpture at Loughborough University School of Art and Design. His works include large scale bronze and steel sculptures and paintings which relate to insurrection, anarchy and revolution.

Louis Ginnett was a British portrait, mural and stained glass painter, who taught at the Brighton School of Art from 1909 to 1939. He was a war artist on the front during the First World War. A graduate of the Académie Julian in Paris, he was a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and eventually served as President of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. His works are in the permanent collections of the Brighton Museum & Art Gallery and the Imperial War Museum.
