Beder is a town with a population of 4,372 (9 January 2012) [1] in Jutland in Denmark. Some consider Beder & the neighbouring town of Malling as one urban area. DST has since 2012 considered the towns one urban area making it the 84th largest in Denmark with a total population of 8,898 in 2020. [2]
The town shares a sporting complex with neighbouring town Malling called Egelund, where the team BMI (Beder Malling Idrætsforening) plays their football, handball, basketball, etc., matches.
Beder-Malling is located in the southernmost part of Århus Municipality bordering the Kattegat. The area is divided into 2 parishes (postal codes 8330 and 8340) and comprises 7x7 square kilometres with approximately 9000 inhabitants. Both Beder and Malling supports a small train station and in the vicinity of the 2 main towns there are 9 smaller villages. Beder is the 3rd most densely populated area within the municipality (1. Aarhus, 2. Lystrup, 3. Beder).
Beder is home to a division of Aarhus Educational Centre for Agriculture, offering gardening, floristry, forestry and nature technician programmes.

Beder-Malling is a new town formed when the towns of Beder and Malling merged into one conurbation in the 2010s and it officially became one urban area.

Åparken is a public park in central Aarhus, Denmark. The park is situated by the Aarhus River in the Vesterbro neighborhood in Midtbyen close to CeresByen, bounded by the streets Carls Blochs Gade and Thorvaldsensgade. The park is divided by a central pedestrian pathway which runs from the urban center and connects to the recreational path Brabrandstien towards the west, circumventing Brabrand Lake area. Åparken is the first of a number of green areas extending from the city centre along the river and the pathway of Brabrandstien. The long distance "Aarhus-Silkeborg hiking route" starts off from Åparken.
Vilhelmsborg is the National Equestrian Centre of Denmark and a listed building in Aarhus Municipality. The main manor building was completed in 1842 and was listed by the Danish Heritage Agency on 3 March 1945. The manor lies 10 km. south of Aarhus, by Beder-Malling in Mårslet Parish, and is today owned by Aarhus Municipality along with 288 hectares of adjoining land.
