Supriya Devi was an Indian actress who is known for her work in Bengali cinema for more than 50 years. She is best known for her portrayal of Neeta in Ritwik Ghatak's Bengali film Megha Dhaka Tara (1960). She was conferred the Filmfare Award and the BFJA Award twice. In 2011, she received the Banga-Vibhushan, the highest civilian honour in West Bengal. In 2014, she was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India, the fourth highest civilian award in India, for her contributions to the entertainment industry.

Lalkar (Challenge) is a 1972 Indian Hindi-language war action film produced and directed by Ramanand Sagar. It was adapted from a Hindi novel Sagar had written, called "Lalkar". The film had music composed by Kalyanji Anandji and the lyricists were Hasrat Jaipuri, Indeevar, Mahendra Dehlvi and Kulwant Jani. It was rated as a hit and cited as one of the "highest grossers" of 1972. Stated to be the costliest war film produced at the time, it starred Dharmendra, Rajendra Kumar, Mala Sinha and Kumkum in lead roles. The rest of the cast included Nazir Hussain, Sujit Kumar, Ramesh Deo, Dara Singh and Agha.

Sulile Kumar, also known by his stage name Tharun Kumar is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil and Kannada films. He made his debut in a supporting role in Tarun Gopi's Kaalai (2008), before going on to play the antagonist in films including Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum (2009) and Aanmai Thavarael (2011) and the lead role in Padam Parthu Kaadhal Sol (2012). Kumar went on to play more villains, such as in Nagaram (2010), Markandeyan (2011), Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal (2012) and many more, before playing the lead role in the romance action drama Padam Parthu Kaadhal Sol (2012). The film had a limited release.

Sanyasi Raja is a 1975 Indian Bengali language period action drama film directed by Pijush Bose and produced by Ashim Sarkar, under the banner of Usha Films. Based on the real life incident of the Bhawal case, it stars Uttam Kumar in the title role alongside Supriya Devi in lead roles. The film was remade in Telugu in 1977 as Raja Ramesh.
Achena Uttam is a 2022 Bengali-language biographical film directed by Atanu Bose and produced by Alaknanda Arts. Music is composed by Upali Chattopadhyay. The storyline of the film is based on Uttam Kumar.
