Maple syrup is a syrup made from the sap of maple trees. In cold climates, these trees store starch in their trunks and roots before winter; the starch is then converted to sugar that rises in the sap in late winter and early spring. Maple trees are tapped by drilling holes into their trunks and collecting the sap, which is processed by heating to evaporate much of the water, leaving the concentrated syrup.
East Greenbush is a town in Rensselaer County, New York, United States. It is a suburb of Albany. The population was 16,748 at the 2020 census. The word Greenbush is derived from the Dutch het groen bosch, referring to the pine woods that originally covered the land. The first settlement of the land now known as East Greenbush was made by tenants under patroon Kiliaen van Rensselaer circa 1630. The town was established in 1855 as Clinton, and was renamed in 1858. It is mostly suburban along its major highways and rural in the southwestern and northeastern corners.
Hazel Dell is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Clark County, Washington, United States, located north and west of Vancouver. As of the 2010 census the population was 19,435. Previous censuses divided the community into two areas, Hazel Dell North and Hazel Dell South.

The Avery Coonley School (ACS), commonly called Avery Coonley, is an independent, coeducational day school serving academically gifted students in preschool through eighth grade (approximately ages 3 to 14), and is located in Downers Grove, DuPage County, Illinois. The school was founded in 1906 to promote the progressive educational theories developed by John Dewey and other turn-of-the-20th-century philosophers, and was a nationally recognized model for progressive education well into the 1940s. From 1943 to 1965, Avery Coonley was part of the National College of Education (now National Louis University), serving as a living laboratory for teacher training and educational research. Butterfield Elementary School was a publicly funded grade school in the Lake Elsinore Unified School District, in California, USA. It was named after the old Butterfield Overland Stage route which runs in front of the school. It provided many innovative programs to its students. In 1995, Butterfield became the new home of the first Elementary Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Magnet School Program in Riverside County. Coincidentally, the second VAPA school program in Riverside County started in September 1991 at Butterfield School of the Arts in the Moreno Valley Unified School District, in Moreno Valley, CA

Community School of Davidson (CSD) is a public charter school located in Davidson, North Carolina. Their mascot is the Spartans. The school was founded by Joy Warner, the current Executive Director, and opened in 2001 as Children's Community School and adopted its current name in 2009. The school's founding principles center around The Basic School, and research done by Dr. Ernest Boyer. The school operates an elementary school, middle school, and high school on two separate campuses. Grades kindergarten through 7th "loop" with their teachers for 2 years. With both campuses combined, the student body is approximately 1,300 pupils, with about 100 per grade level. Each year, the random lottery that selects new families to attend CSD leaves over 3,000 students on the wait list for entry.

The Cumming Nature Center (CNC) is a 900-acre environmental education facility located near Naples, New York. Owned by the Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC), the preserve features over fifteen miles of trails and offers educational programs and service-learning opportunities. Established in 1973 with a gift from the Cumming family to the Rochester Museum & Science Center, CNC's landscape is home to a diverse variety of habitats, including abandoned fields, conifer plantations, swamps, marshes, ponds, and upland forests.
