Bellator returned to Dublin for the second time in 2022, featuring Irish fighter Peter Queally in the main event against former WEC and UFC Lightweight Champions Benson Henderson. [1] [5]
After initially being booked for May 6, 2022 at Bellator 280 and being scrapped due to a hand injury to Manhoef, [6] Yoel Romero and Melvin Manhoef was rescheduled for this event. [7]
A bantamweight bout between Brett Johns and James Gallagher was scheduled for this event. [8] However in August, it was announced that Gallagher pulled out of the bout due to unknown reasons. [9] Jordan Winski was picked as a replacement for Gallagher. [10]

Melvin Manhoef is a retired Surinamese-born Dutch mixed martial artist and kickboxer. In kickboxing, he is a former It's Showtime Middleweight Champion, and in MMA he was the Cage Rage Light Heavyweight Champion. In mixed martial arts, he competed in Bellator's Light heavyweight and Middleweight division and has also formerly competed for Strikeforce, DREAM, RINGS, It's Showtime, K-1, ONE FC, and KSW. 29 of his 32 wins have come via knockout, the highest percentage of any MMA fighter with at least 15 wins.
Yoel Romero Palacio is a Cuban professional mixed martial artist and former freestyle wrestler. He currently competes in the Light Heavyweight division for Bellator MMA. Romero formerly competed in the Middleweight division for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and was a challenger for the UFC Middleweight Championship.
