Belle Air Sh.p.k (stylized as belleair) was a privately owned Albanian low-cost airline headquartered in Tirana. [2]
Belle Air was founded in 2005. It ceased operations on 24 November 2013 . [1] [3] [4] Their fleet has been returned to the lessors. [1] [5] Belle Air Europe was a sister company to the airline, founded in 2009 and based in Ancona, Italy. It ceased operations two days after the parent company. [6]
Belle Air operated international flights on scheduled services to several cities in Belgium, Germany, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Switzerland and the UK out of Tirana International Airport Nënë Tereza.[ citation needed ]

Tirana International Airport Nënë Tereza, often referred to as the Rinas International Airport, is one of the two main international airports of the Republic of Albania. It serves the city of Tirana, its metropolitan area, and surrounding region in the county of Tirana. The airport is named in honor of the Albanian Roman Catholic nun and missionary, Mother Teresa (1910–1997). It is located 6 nautical miles northwest of Tirana, in the municipality of Krujë, Durrës County.

Meridiana Fly S.p.A., operating as Meridiana, was a privately owned Italian airline headquartered in Olbia with its main base at Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport. It operated scheduled and charter flights to domestic, European and intercontinental destinations from several Italian bases. Some of its operations were carried out by the old Air Italy under the Meridiana brand. It was owned by Qatar Airways through AQA Holding (49%) and Alisarda S.p.A. (51%), who rebranded the airline as the new Air Italy effective 1 March 2018.

Air One S.p.A. was an Italian low-cost airline which operated as Air One "Smart Carrier". It operated as Alitalia's low-cost subsidiary with operating bases located in Catania, Palermo, Pisa, Venice and Verona; while Tirana was a focus city. "Air One" is a portmanteau of the English meaning Air One and the Italian word 'airone', pronounced IPA [ai'rone], meaning heron, which was also the airline's callsign.
Air Vallée S.p.A. was an Italian charter and regional airline based in Rimini. In June 2016 it ceased all operations.
Darwin Airline SA was a Swiss regional airline with its head office in Bioggio, Lugano flying under the brand name Adria Airways Switzerland. It operated scheduled domestic and international services in some western European countries. It used the brand name Etihad Regional from January 2014 to July 2017, when Etihad Airways sold its 33% stake to the owner of Adria Airways. It previously also operated flights on behalf of Alitalia. Its bases were Geneva Airport and Lugano Airport.
Blue Panorama Airlines S.p.A. was an Italian airline headquartered in Fiumicino operating scheduled and charter flights mostly to domestic and international leisure destinations. As of late 2021, the airline was in the process to change its brand name to Luke Air also retiring their former Blu-express brand used for domestic and short-haul destinations. Additional business charter flights used to be operated under the name Executive Blue. As of late October 2021, it suspended all operations until further notice and was subsequently liquidated in late 2022.
Poste Air Cargo, named Mistral Air until 30 September 2019, is an Italian cargo and former passenger airline headquartered in Rome and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Poste italiane. Throughout its existence, it only sporadically carried out civil flights with the Ilyushin Il-14 of the Albanian Air Force. The state-owned company was primarily responsible for national issues in civil aviation, including air traffic control in Albania and handling at Tirana Airport and its management.
