Belz Enterprises, Inc. is a major American-based developer of hotels, retail, and commercial properties, including shopping malls.
Belz owns and operates the Peabody Hotel in Memphis. Previously they operated two other Peabody Hotels, one in Little Rock, and another in Orlando, however both of these hotels were sold in 2013 becoming a Hyatt and Mariott respectively. In past years, much of its operations have been centered on the development of new factory outlet type malls, such as the Belz Factory Outlet World in Canovanas, Puerto Rico opened in 2001 which is now known as The Outlet 66 Mall, and the conversion of some its older traditional properties into such. In recent years they have developed more traditional shopping centers including strip malls and Peabody Place in downtown Memphis, commercial office, and warehouses space. The firm is based in Memphis. Ronald A. Belz serves as Chief Operating Officer.
The company was founded in North Memphis in 1940 [1] by Philip Belz (1904-2000). [2] The firm's earliest projects included small retail and residential spaces and soon expanded to industrial development, starting with a roofing materials factory on the former site of the North Memphis Driving Park (horse racing track). Water Tower Place is a large urban, mixed-use development comprising a 758,000 sq ft (70,400 m2) shopping mall in a 74-story skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The mall is located at 835 North Michigan Avenue, along the Magnificent Mile. It is named after the nearby Chicago Water Tower, and is owned by affiliates of Brookfield Property Partners. As reported by the Chicago Suntimes, Brookfield Property Partners handed the keys to the project back to their lender, MetLife, owing to numerous retail vacancies following the closing of Macy's and the impact of COVID and increasing crime along the Magnificent Mile.
The Outlets at Orange is an open-air outlet mall in the city of Orange, California in northern Orange County developed by The Mills Corporation and now owned by Simon Property Group. The anchor stores in this outlet are Dave & Buster's, Guitar Center, AMC Theatres, Neiman Marcus Last Call, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom Rack, Gap, and Bloomingdale's.
The Peabody Memphis is a historic luxury hotel in Downtown Memphis, Tennessee, opened in 1925. The hotel is known for the "Peabody Ducks" that live on the hotel rooftop and make daily treks to the lobby. The Peabody is a member of Historic Hotels of America, a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Dulles Town Center is a two-level enclosed shopping mall in Sterling in Loudoun County, Virginia. It is located five miles (8.0 km) north of Washington Dulles International Airport. It is part of the Dulles Town Center census-designated place for population statistical purposes.
Dezerland Park Orlando is an enclosed shopping mall and amusement park located on International Drive in Orlando, Florida, United States. Opened in 2002 as a property of the Belz Factory Outlets, it is owned and managed by Dezer Development. As Festival Bay Marketplace, the complex was 860,000 square feet (80,000 m2) in size with Bass Pro Shops, Boot Barn, Book Warehouse, Gods & Monsters, and Ron Jon Surf Shop as anchor stores. It also comprised several entertainment venues, including a Cinemark movie theater, Sky Zone Trampoline Park, Sky Trail Ropes Course and a Putting Edge glow-in-the-dark miniature golf course. Having failed twice as a shopping mall, the complex reopened in 2020 as Dezerland Park Orlando.
Brickell City Centre is a large mixed-use complex consisting of two residential high-rise towers, two office buildings, a high-rise hotel, and an interconnected five-story shopping mall and lifestyle center covering 9 acres (36,000 m2) located in the Brickell district of Downtown Miami, Florida. Situated at the junction of Miami Avenue and Eighth Street, it spans up to five blocks to the west of Brickell Avenue and to the south of the Miami River. Contrary to the name, the development is not in the traditional downtown Miami city centre, but in the more recently redeveloped financial district of Brickell. The retail shopping and lifestyle center is operated by Simon Malls.

Memphis developers Poag and McEwen are generally credited with developing the concept in the late 1980s. Lifestyle centers emerged as a major retailing trend in the late 1990s. Sometimes labeled boutique malls or an ersatz downtown, they are often located in affluent suburban areas.
One Bellevue Place is a regional shopping, dining, and entertainment complex in southwestern Nashville, Tennessee, specifically in the Bellevue neighborhood. Opened in 1990 as an enclosed regional shopping mall named Bellevue Center, it had capacity for over 90 stores on two floors totaling 848,545 square feet (78,832.4 m2). The mall itself opened in 1990, began showing signs of decline during the early 2000s recession, and closed in 2008. Two of its three anchor tenants continued to operate beyond the mall's closure, but both would eventually vacate the property as well. The entire structure, including the three adjacent anchor buildings and an outparcel, was demolished in 2015. A new mixed-use complex opened on the site in 2017.
Power Plant Mall is an upscale indoor shopping mall in Makati, Philippines. It is the anchor establishment of Rockwell Center, a mixed-use area north of the Makati Central Business District on the Pasig River waterfront across Mandaluyong. It is one of two shopping centers developed and managed by Rockwell Land Corporation, a subsidiary of Lopez Holdings Corporation, in Metro Manila. It was designed by Toronto-based architecture firm, Design International.
Settlers Green is an outlet shopping center in North Conway, New Hampshire, United States. The center was built on the location of the former White Mountain Airport and opened in February 1988. It has since expanded to a former industrial site and a former competing shopping center. Settlers Green is divided into four parts: the Outlet Village, which contains mostly outlet stores; Settlers Crossing, which has a combination of lifestyle and specialty retailers; Settlers Corner, which houses a Staples, Home Depot, and HomeGoods; and Streetside, which features upscale retailers. With over 500,000 square feet (46,000 m2) of retail space, it is the largest shopping center in the White Mountains Region.
Las Vegas Premium Outlets North is an outlet mall located on 40 acres (16 ha) in downtown Las Vegas, north of the Las Vegas Strip. It is an outdoor mall with 685,000-square-foot (63,600 m2). It is owned and managed by Simon Property Group, and is part of Simon's Premium Outlets chain. It was co-developed with Chelsea Property Group, and was opened on August 1, 2003. Expansions were finished in 2008 and 2015, adding additional retailers and parking spaces.
