Ben Goldsmith is a singer/songwriter from Long Island, New York. He is currently signed to Sony Music Nashville.
Ben Goldsmith grew up in Merrick, NY in a musical family. His mom, who was a classical violinist, introduced him to the violin but he soon moved on to guitar. [1] His grandfather was a professional saxophonist that he shares a close relationship with. By the age of 11 he released an EP of original music, playing all the instruments. [2]
Before the age of 13 he went on a five city tour with the School of Rock All Stars which included a stop at Lollapalooza. [3] At 13 , Ben studied jazz guitar at the Manhattan School of Music and the [[Mannes School of Music]. He then was put in touch with Berklee Professor Tomo Fujita, who previously taught John Mayer, among others. He often speaks of his parents sacrificing weekends driving back and forth to Boston so that he could take guitar lessons with Fujita, whom he credits as a mentor, and for helping him find his voice and tone on the guitar. Ben started to explore production and songwriting more seriously when he was locked down over 2020. He spent days in his bedroom as a young teen writing and producing music. He was introduced via his manager to Brad Jones, a local Nashville producer. He referred to Brad as his shepherd into the recording world and used his studio as a workshop to create and experiment. Brad encouraged Ben to collaborate with other songwriters in town to further develop his songwriting skills. In the summer of 2021 Ben was given a slot at Whiskey Jam in Nashville Tennessee. A video that was posted by Whiskey Jam’s founder, Ward Gunther, led to several labels reaching out to Goldsmith. Goldsmith ultimately ended up performing privately for executives at Sony Music Nashville and was signed. He was sixteen year old. Ben was signed to Universal Music Publishing as an artist/songwriter. He was simultaneously signed to United Talent Agency.
Goldsmith became the flagship artist for Sony Nashville’s imprint Free Flight Records, a label with a strong pop and singer-songwriter heritage. Goldsmith graduated high school a year early and was accepted to the prestigious Clive Davis program at NYU for Music Production. He took a gap year and moved to Nashville to live closer to his label and continue songwriting. After the year off Goldsmith withdrew his NYU admission to continue building his career.
Goldsmith headed directly to Tennessee after high school graduation because he landed a slot on 2023 Bonnaroo lineup playing next to artists such as Paramore, Foo Fighters, and more. [5] . [6]
He released the single “One Day Believer” in 2022, before returning the following year with returning the next year with his first full-length record called The World Between My Ears. [7]
Ben performed in Tempe Arizona at the Extra Innings Festival in 2024 amongst the lineup that included Noah Kahan, The Dave Matthew’s Band, and Morgan Wade.
In 2024 he released the song “Crazy” from his sophomore album The Start Of Something Beautiful which was released on 13 September. [8]
He collaborates with a number of writers and artists on the album including Rick Nowels (Lana Del Rey), Alex Hope (Troye Sivan, Alec Benjamin) and Peter Fenn (Myles Smith, Deyaz). [9]
Goldsmith was featured in The Hollywood Reporter’s as one of their 18 and under emerging artists. [10]
Goldsmith was one of several Sony artists featured in the online game Roblox where fans could purchase his guitar case as part of the game. [11]
Goldsmith and music producer Peter Fenn partnered with Sony Electronics and Sony SoundClub Presents at the Sony Pictures Lot in Culver City for a live recording session. [12]
Brad Douglas Paisley is an American country music singer, songwriter, and guitarist. His first success came in 1997 as the writer of David Kersh's "Another You". After this, he signed with Arista Nashville in 1998 and released his debut album Who Needs Pictures in 1999. This was the first of twelve studio albums he would release for the label before its closure in 2023, after which he transferred to EMI Nashville. His most commercially successful albums are Mud on the Tires (2003) and Time Well Wasted (2005), both certified double-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Blackhawk is an American country music band founded in 1992 in Nashville, Tennessee. The band consists of founding members Henry Paul and Dave Robbins. They are accompanied by a backing band consisting of Randy Threet, Jeff Aulich (guitar), Jimmy Dormire (guitar), and Mike Bailey (drums). Paul, a then-former member of Southern rock band Outlaws, founded Blackhawk with Robbins and former solo singer Van Stephenson, both of whom had success as songwriters for other acts such as Restless Heart. Stephenson left shortly before his death from melanoma in 2001 and was replaced by Threet, then Anthony Crawford and Michael Randall; however, Threet has remained in the touring band. Robbins left in 2008 and was replaced with Jon Coleman before rejoining in 2010. After Paul re-established Outlaws in 2005, he, along with Robbins, Threet, and members of the backing band, have toured as both Outlaws and Blackhawk simultaneously.
Robert Ellis Orrall is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. Signed to RCA Records in 1980, Orrall debuted that year with the album "Fixation". His first Top 40 single was "I Couldn't Say No", a duet with Carlene Carter. By 1990, Orrall had found success as a songwriter, having penned Number One singles for Shenandoah and Clay Walker. He returned to RCA in 1991 and charted the singles "Boom! It Was Over" (#19) and "A Little Bit of Her Love" (#31), from his first country music album, Flying Colors. Orrall then joined frequent songwriting partner Curtis Wright in the CMA-nominated duo Orrall & Wright, recording one more album and charting two singles. They split up in 1994, however, and Orrall returned to his solo career, writing singles for Reba McEntire, Taylor Swift, and Lindsay Lohan, as well as producing records for Swift, Be Your Own Pet, and Love and Theft. Bradley Curtis Martin was an American country music singer-songwriter. James Fron "Sonny" Throckmorton is an American country music songwriter. He has had more than 1,000 of his songs recorded by various country singers. He has headed both Arista Records and Universal South Records, and as a songwriter, he has written five No. 1 country hits, including "Love in the First Degree" which was a world-wide hit recorded by the group Alabama.
Margaret Rose Durante is an American soul and country music singer. In 2009, Durante signed to Universal Republic and released a cover of Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody". A year later, she left Universal Republic and signed to independent Emrose Records, an imprint that used the services of James Stroud's Stroudavarious Records. She charted two singles for Emrose and released her digital EP, Maybe Tonight. Maggie also recorded two songs that were featured in episodes of the Disney Channel's Shake It Up and Good Luck Charlie television series, and were included on the Shake It Up: Break It Down soundtrack album that was released on July 12, 2011. Durante changed her recording name to Maggie Rose in 2012 after signing with Scott Siman's RPM Management. Benjamin John Howard is an English singer-songwriter, musician and composer. His self-released debut extended play (EP) Games in the Dark (2008) was followed by two more EPs, These Waters (2009) and Old Pine (2010). Signed to Island Records, his debut studio album came in 2011 titled Every Kingdom. The album reached number four on the UK Albums Chart and was certified triple platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). Howard later released two more EPs, Ben Howard Live (2011) and The Burgh Island E.P. (2012).

Camaron Marvel Ochs, known professionally as Cam, is an American country music singer and songwriter. She began her career as a songwriter and has composed material for several artists including Beyoncé, Sam Smith and Miley Cyrus. In 2010, she released her debut studio album Heartforward on an independent record label. Signing with Sony Music Entertainment, she released her debut major label EP in March 2015, Welcome to Cam Country, followed by the studio album Untamed later that same year. Her third album was The Otherside, released on Triple Tigers in 2020. Her second single "Burning House" is her most commercially successful, peaking at the number two position on Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay. Spurred by airplay on The Bobby Bones Show, the song received widespread acclaim, including a Best Country Solo Performance nomination at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards and a Triple Platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
