Ben Montague is an English musician, singer-songwriter and multi instrumentalist from Farnborough, Kent, England. [1] [3] He is perhaps best known for his single "Haunted" from the first album, Overcome. His latest album, Back into Paradise, was launched in June 2015 through the MWM label. He was on a nationwide tour which culminated in the Dello bar in Dublin on 12 December 2015. Prior to that Montague supported Simply Red in Brighton on the 28 and 29 November 2015.

History

Overcome and early successes

His musical career began in earnest in 2010 when the singles from what would become his first album Overcome received high praise from UK Radio stations. "Can't hold Me Down" was added to the BBC Radio 2 playlist [4] for 5 weeks and follow up "Haunted" later became their Record of the Week [5] followed in June 2010 by "Broken". The album Overcome commercially released via his management company in early 2011.The album, titled Tales of Flying And Falling was released in 2013 through Nusic and EMI Label Services – the full-length album was produced at Rockfield Studios by Dave Eringa, the producer behind records for Manic Street Preachers, Idlewild and Kylie Minogue.The first single from the album, "Love Like Stars", was released on 6 July 2012. Second single "Another Hard Fall" was released on 26 August 2012 and was added to the Radio 2 B List from 4 August 2012. [6] After a period of reflection and being involved in the start up of a specialist guitar company, The American Guitar Company, Montague has produced his third album, Back into Paradise, in 2015 through MWM Limited.

2015–present

In June 2015, his third album Back into Paradise was released with the support of producer Peter-John Vettese who co wrote "Runaway", engineering and mixing by Tuft Evans, guidance of John Giddins, and key musicians, Jimmy Sims on bass, Mark Pusey playing drums, and Robbie McIntosh on lead guitar. Montague's single "We Start Over" achieved BBC Radio 2's Record of the Week. He was also asked to perform on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sara Cox.

Back into Paradise Deluxe Album reached no. 7 in the iTunes singer songwriter chart.

Touring

In the past, Montague has performed live appearances with The Lighthouse Family, playing as main support in Academy venues, alongside Stereophonics as a part of F1 Rocks, a music event run at the 2010 Italian Grand Prix in Milan; [7] and later on The Code Tour 2012 with The Wanted and Lawson. [8] The Code Tour 2012 saw Montague perform alongside Lawson and The Wanted. [9] 2014 saw Montague support Shane Filan of Westlife.

You Gotta Go There to Come Back is the fourth studio album by alternative rock band Stereophonics. Produced by Kelly Jones and released on V2 in 2003, this LP became their third consecutive album to top the UK chart, selling 101,946 copies in its first week alone. It is the final Stereophonics album to feature long-time original drummer Stuart Cable before he was fired in September 2003.

Keep Calm and Carry On is the seventh studio album by Welsh rock band Stereophonics. Released by Mercury on 16 November 2009, the album debuted at number 11 with sales of 42,771 on the UK Albums Chart, the lowest position for a studio album released by the band. The album was named after a British World War II poster of the same name. Keep Calm and Carry On was the first studio album by the band to feature guitarist Adam Zindani as a permanent member of the band. In the initial months after release, fans could access bonus content from the band's website with their copy of the album. This featured videos of a Track By Track rundown of the album, a Welcome Message from the group, the photoshoot for the album, and live audio of "You're My Star" (Acoustic) and "I Stopped to Fill My Car Up" from the Greatest Hits tour.

Graffiti on the Train is the eighth studio album by Welsh rock band Stereophonics. Produced by the group's lead-singer and guitarist Kelly Jones and Jim Lowe, it was released on 4 March 2013 on their own Stylus Records. It was the first Stereophonics album since Keep Calm and Carry On (2009), marking the first time they had not released a record within two years. It was intended for an October 2012 release date and took nearly two years to complete. This is the last record to feature drummer Javier Weyler, who was officially replaced by Jamie Morrison on 24 September 2012.

Keep the Village Alive is the ninth studio album by Welsh rock band Stereophonics. Released on 11 September 2015, it was produced by lead singer and guitarist Kelly Jones, along with Jim Lowe. It is intended to be the second of two album volumes, with its predecessor Graffiti on the Train being the first. It is the first album to feature Jamie Morrison, who joined during the production of Graffiti on the Train in 2012. Keep the Village Alive was met with a similar positive response as Graffiti on the Train and topped the UK Albums Chart, becoming the band's first to do so since Pull the Pin (2007).

<i>Kind</i> (album) 2019 studio album by Stereophonics

Kind is the eleventh studio album by Welsh rock band Stereophonics released on 25 October 2019 on Parlophone Records, nearly two years after their previous album, Scream Above the Sounds. Recorded over an eleven-day period between 29 June and 9 July 2019 at The Ramsbury Brewery & Distillery in Marlborough, Wiltshire, the album was produced by lead singer and guitarist Kelly Jones and George Drakoulias. Kind topped the UK Albums Chart, becoming the band's first to do so since Keep the Village Alive (2015) and their seventh overall.
