Bend Sinister is the third release EP by Vancouver band, Bend Sinister released on September 14, 2007. The video for the first single, "Time Breaks Down", received moderate play on Muchmusic and was nominated for CBC Radio 3's 2007 Video of the Year Bucky award.

Mott the Hoople are an English rock band formed in Herefordshire, England. Originally known as the Doc Thomas Group, the group changed their name after signing with Island Records in 1969. The band released albums throughout the early 1970s but failed to find commercial success. On the verge of breaking up, the band were encouraged by David Bowie to stay together. Mortification is an Australian Christian extreme metal band which was formed in 1987 as a heavy metal group, Lightforce, by mainstay Steve Rowe on bass guitar and vocals. By 1990, in the Melbourne suburb of Moorabbin, they were renamed as Mortification with the line-up of Rowe, Michael Carlisle on guitar, and Jayson Sherlock on drums. <i>Home</i> (Sevendust album) 1999 studio album by Sevendust

Home is the second studio album by American rock band Sevendust, released on August 24, 1999 through TVT Records. The album appeared on the Billboard 200, remained there for fourteen weeks and peaked at 19 on September 11, 1999. Home was certified gold on May 18, 2000 through the Recording Industry Association of America. The album features thirteen tracks on the United States release and sixteen tracks on the Japan release, with two tracks featuring artists outside of Sevendust. Three singles were released from the album, two of which appeared on the mainstream and modern Billboard charts.

<i>The Unutterable</i> 2000 studio album by The Fall

The Unutterable is the 21st album by English rock band the Fall, released in 2000. It was recorded with much the same lineup as had appeared on the group's previous album, 1999's The Marshall Suite. However, whilst this version of the band was still coming together as the previous album was being made, by the time of the current record, they had had a year to jell as a unit. Therefore, while there is some similarity in the sound of the two, The Unutterable was much more consistent in its production and songwriting. It was generally well received by the critics, being praised as a "career peak" by Dave Simpson of The Guardian and prompting Piers Martin of the NME to suggest, "...this is as vital and relevant as The Fall have sounded for a considerable length of time. "

Offcutts were an Australian rock group which formed in 2002 by mainstays Aram "Az" Cargill on guitar and Tommy Spender on lead vocals and bass guitar. Their music had high rotation on national youth radio, Triple J. They issued two albums, Thrift Shop Boutique and What Happened Don't Lie, before disbanding in 2008.

The Contrast (band)

The Contrast are a guitar power pop band based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, in the United Kingdom. They were formed in 1999 by David Reid and have since released five albums on the New York-based label Rainbow Quartz and two for Wicked Cool Records. Since the release of their second album Wireless Days, their music has been regularly played by Little Steven on his Underground Garage radio show. Little Steven once described them on air as "One of the best bands on the planet – and England too" and consequently invited them to play the Underground Garage Festival on Randall's Island in 2004. In May 2007, they released a new album called Underground Ghosts that has since been regularly featured on Little Steven's Underground Garage show. A compilation of tracks from all of the Rainbow Quartz albums was released in 2007. This contains new and unreleased tracks and is the band's first release on Little Steven's "Wicked Cool" label. The band's song "Mystery #1" was featured on a Wicked Cool compilation album, The Coolest Songs In The World- Vol 2.

Van Canto is a German a cappella metal band, founded in 2006 and composed of six singers and a drummer. Although the group is often classified as an a cappella ensemble, they use real drums in their music, instead of vocal percussion or beatboxing.

The Color Fred

The Color Fred is a band headed by former Taking Back Sunday guitarist and singer Fred Mascherino. The band got their name by a poll taken on the internet and The Color Fred was declared as the fans' favorite name. The band was started while he was in the band Breaking Pangaea. The Color Fred was featured on a compilation by Equal Vision Records in 2005. Mascherino has worked with Macbeth Athletics to design and produce the F. P. Mascho, as part of Macbeth's Studio Projects. The shoe displayed the drawings of Jude Ianelli that also appeared on The Color Fred's official website, and some lyrics.

The F-Ups are an American punk rock band from Rochester, Minnesota. Founded in 1999, signed with Capitol Records in 2003, and reunited in 2020. They are best known for their song 'Lazy Generation' which was featured on NHL 2005 and Burnout 3: Takedown, being the theme song for Takedown. Several of the members formed a new band Hang 'Em High, which itself disbanded in 2014.

<i>Xmas Ear Bender</i> 1980 EP by Slade

"Xmas Ear Bender" is an extended play (EP) by the British rock band Slade, released in 1980. Xmas Ear Bender includes three tracks; two of which were recorded at the band's performance at the 1980 Reading Festival. The EP was produced by Slade and reached No. 70 in the UK, remaining in the charts for two weeks. The EP was later included in its entirety on the 2006 Salvo compilation Slade Alive! – The Live Anthology.

Design the Skyline is an American avant-garde metal band from Corpus Christi, Texas. Formed in 2007, the band originally was known as Extra Large Kids during high school and recorded demo songs while playing in their local area under this name. In 2011, the band gained international attention after being signed to Victory Records with their song "Surrounded by Silence" and its accompanying video, which was so negatively received to the point where the band gained a considerable exposure. The negative reaction was generally due to the song's key structure and sound changes, as well the band's overt "scene" image at the time.
