Benefis is a weekly one-hour talk show hosted by Armenian presenter Avet Barseghyan, and airing on Yerevan-based Public Television company of Armenia. The show featured one-on-one interviews with notable residents of Armenia, their best performances, and interesting facts about their lives and creative paths. The talk-show aired every Sunday. [1]

The music of Armenia has its origins in the Armenian highlands, dating back to the 3rd millennium BCE, and is a long-standing musical tradition that encompasses diverse secular and religious, or sacred, music. Folk music was notably collected and transcribed by Komitas Vardapet, a prominent composer and musicologist, in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, who is also considered the founder of the modern Armenian national school of music. <i>Hay Superstar</i>

Hay Superstar/Hye Superstar was the Armenian version of the British television hit show Pop Idol, part of the Idol franchise. It is a talent contest to find the best young singer in Armenia.

Armenia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Anytime You Need" written by Hayko and Karen Kavaleryan. The song was performed by Hayko. The Armenian entry for the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland was selected through the national final Evrotesil 2007, organised by the Armenian broadcaster Public Television of Armenia (AMPTV). The national final and consisted of three shows: two semi-finals and a final. Ten entries competed in each semi-final with three from each semi-final alongside a wildcard qualifying to compete in the final on 25 February 2007. "Anytime You Need" performed by Hayko was selected by a professional jury as the winner.

The Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, simply known by locals as Opera, is an opera theatre in Yerevan. It officially opened on 20 January 1933, with a performance of Alexander Spendiaryan's opera Almast as its first show. The opera building was designed by architect Alexander Tamanian. It consists of two concert halls: the Aram Khatchaturian Concert Hall with 1,400 seats and the Alexander Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet National Theatre with 1,200 seats.

"Hayastan Jan" is a song by Armenian-German singer-songwriter Iveta Mukuchyan. It was released as a single on August 11, 2017, however the music video was released earlier. "Hayastan Jan" was written by Armenian songwriter and TV host Avet Barseghyan and composed by Mukuchyan. On 23 September 2017, Armenia 1 launched a new game show of the same name. Hosted by the songwriter of the track, it had "Hayastan Jan" as its theme music. The song became popular among Armenian diaspora, especially in Lebanon, where it topped the top 10 list of Radio Sevan. On 27 September 2018, the song won a "Song of the Year" award during the ceremony of the same name in Sochi, Russia.

Nice Evening was an Armenian late night talk show hosted by musicians Aram MP3 and Garik Papoyan. The series premiered on Armenia 1 on October 27, 2017 and ended on December 31, 2019. The series aired on Fridays at 21:35. It is generally structured around humorous monologues about the day's news, guest interviews, comedy sketches and music performances. Popular guests of the show include Marcus Miller, Nikol Pashinyan, Hovhannes Azoyan, Hayk Marutyan, Sebu Simonian, Arto Tunçboyacıyan, Nazeni Hovhannisyan, and Ralph Yirikian.

"Dashterov" is a song by Armenian musicians Aram Mp3 and Iveta Mukuchyan. The song premiered on February 11, 2017. The same day the singers sang the song at Dalma Garden Mall. The song is written by another Armenian musician Avet Barseghyan. Arrangements were made by Armenian DJ Serjo. Mukuchyan first talked about her collaboration in London during her interview with Wiwibloggs. The track sees the duo sing about chasing love across fields, valleys, mountains and canyons. The song preceded a collaborative project of the same name.

Swallow Music Awards is an annual national music awards ceremony first held in Yerevan, Armenia, on 25 March 2017. The awards are created and sponsored by RA Ministry of Culture to appreciate and spur the activities of individuals and creators of various genres of Armenian musical art, as well as to display the significant achievements in the field of music to the broader layers of society. The awards consist of four parts: achievements in classical genre, folk genre, mass pop genre, and special/other awards. During the ceremony artists are given the awards designed by Armenian painter and designer Arman Nur. Each year, the award ceremony airs live on Public Television company of Armenia.

Armenia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "Walking Out" written by Lost Capital, tokionine and Garik Papoyan. The song was performed by Srbuk, who was selected internally by the Armenian broadcaster Public Television Company of Armenia (AMPTV) to represent Armenia in the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel. Srbuk's selection as the Armenian artist was announced on 30 November 2018, while the song "Walking Out" was later presented to the public on 10 March 2019.
