Benita Jean Edds (born 12 June 1958 in Sullivan) is an American former archer. [1]

Life

Edds graduated from Indiana State University in 1981 gaining a major in life science and medical technology. She later became a chemist for Eli Lilly and dog breeder. She was inducted into the Indiana State University Athletics Hall of Fame in 1998. [2]

Archery

Edds competed in the 1984 Summer Olympic Games. She came 34th with 2366 points scored in the women's individual event. [3]

Benita Willis Australian long-distance runner

Benita Jaye Willis is an Australian long-distance runner, who is a three-time national champion in the women's 5,000 metres. Her foremost achievement is a gold medal in the long race at the 2004 IAAF World Cross Country Championships. She has also won team medals at that competition on two occasions. She has competed at the Summer Olympics four times and has twice represented Australia at the Commonwealth Games.

Amy Yoder Begley is an American middle and long distance runner and a US Olympian in the 10,000 meter event at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Yoder Begley lives in Atlanta, Georgia, where she is coach of the Atlanta Track Club, assisted by her husband Andrew Begley.

Indiana State Sycamores

The Indiana State Sycamores are the NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic teams of Indiana State University. Since the 1977–78 academic year, Indiana State has been a member of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). The Indiana State football team has competed in the second-tier Division I FCS since the 1982 season, and has been a member of the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) since it was spun off from the Gateway Collegiate Athletic Conference (Gateway) when the latter league merged into the MVC in 1992. Past conference memberships include the Indiana College Athletic League (1895–1922), the Indiana Intercollegiate Conference (1922–1950), the Indiana Collegiate Conference (1950–1968) and the Midwestern Conference (1970–1972). The women's teams were Gateway members from the league's 1982 founding until its absorption by the MVC. In 1986, a year after the Gateway took on football as its only men's sport, the Sycamores football team joined that conference.

Stephanie Hightower is an American former hurdler and former president of USA Track & Field (USATF). She is a four-time U.S. Champion at 100 meter hurdles and a five-time U.S. Indoor Champion at 60 meter hurdles. She also won the 1980 U.S. Olympic Trials, but was prevented from competing in the Moscow Olympics due to the boycott. She won a silver medal at the 1987 Pan American Games.

Janis Kristin Klecker is a former American long-distance runner who is a two-time United States national champion in the marathon. Klecker won the 1992 US Olympic Trials marathon in Houston and went on to compete in the marathon at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, an event in which she placed 21st. Klecker has won the City of Lakes Marathon/Twin Cities Marathon three times, the San Francisco Marathon twice, and the California International Marathon twice.

2021 London mayoral election Upcoming election for the Mayor of London

The 2021 London mayoral election will be held on 6 May 2021 to elect the mayor of London. It will be held simultaneously with elections for the London Assembly and other local elections. The mayoral and Assembly elections were originally due to be held on 7 May 2020, but in March 2020 it was announced the election would be postponed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the next election to be held in 2024.

Kelly Mitchell is an American politician and businesswoman serving as the 54th Indiana State Treasurer. She was elected treasurer on November 4, 2014 and assumed office early on November 18, 2014. She replaced interim Treasurer, Daniel Huge, who took over after Richard Mourdock resigned. Mitchell was an at-large delegate to the 2016 Republican National Convention from Indiana. She was a candidate in the 2020 Republican primary in Indiana's 5th congressional district. Mitchell received 5.3% of the vote in the 2020 Republican primary.

Victoria Spartz is a Ukrainian American politician and businesswoman serving as a member of the Indiana Senate from the 20th District. In June 2020, Spartz became the Republican nominee for Indiana's 5th congressional district in the 2020 House of Representatives elections. She won her 2020 election by earning over 50% of the vote over her opponent, state Representative Christina Hale 45.9%.
