Don Benjamin Manalo (born July 30, 1995), known professionally as Benj Manalo, is a Filipino actor and professional dancer [1] who is best known for his role as Pinggoy in the top-rated prime time series FPJ's Ang Probinsyano . He also appeared in other shows like On the Wings of Love , My Super D and Kadenang Ginto .

He is the second son of comedian and TV host Jose Manalo and brother of Nicco Manalo. [2] [3]

He also appeared as the boatman Tolits (third alternative) in the hit original Filipino musical Rak of Aegis. [4]

In 2005, Manalo auditioned for the third batch of StarStruck , a reality talent search from GMA-7. He also appeared in soap operas like Agawin Mo Man ang Lahat and Daisy Siete . He later joined the hip-hop dance group Philippine All-Stars. [4]

In 2018, he celebrated his 3rd anniversary with his girlfriend 'Bubble Gang' comedienne Lovely Abella. He also won the Best Actor trophy at the CentroMedia FilmFest 2018. [5]

In June 2019, he proposed to Abella. [6] In January 23, 2021, the couple tied their knot at Lemuria Gourmet Restaurant in Quezon City. [7]

Kalyeserye was a soap opera parody segment that was aired live on the Filipino noontime variety show Eat Bulaga! on GMA Network in the Philippines and worldwide through GMA Pinoy TV. The mini-show, as it has evolved, focused on AlDub, the fictional couple pairing — or "love team" as it is more commonly known in the Philippines — of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza's "Yaya Dub" character in which the two only communicate through lip-syncing to various pop songs and movie audio clips as well as written messages, and interact only on the show's split-screen frame. Richards is usually based in Broadway Centrum studio of Eat Bulaga! in Quezon City, Metro Manila while Mendoza travels around to a different external location.
