Benjamin Yurosek is an American football tight end for the Stanford Cardinal of the Pac-12 Conference.

Early years

Yurosek grew up in Bakersfield, California and attended Bakersfield Christian High School. [1] As a senior he had 49 receptions for 741 yards and 11 touchdowns on offense and made 81 tackles with 22 sacks and five forced fumbles as a defensive end. [2] He also led Bakersfield Christian to a state championship in basketball. [3] Yurosek was rated a three-star recruit and committed to play college football at Stanford over offers from Notre Dame, Washington, and UCLA. [4]

College career

As a freshman, Yurosek played in all six of Stanford's games in the team's COVID-19-shortened 2020 season but did not catch a pass. [5] As a sophomore, he caught 43 passes for 658 yards and three touchdowns. [6] Yurosek was named preseason All-Pac-12 Conference and on the watchlist for the Mackey Award entering his junior season. To cap off Harbaugh's first season, the Cardinal defeated archrival Cal in Stanford's final game of the season to win the Stanford Axe for the first time in six years.

The 2010 UCLA Bruins football team represented the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in the 2010 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Coached by third-year head coach Rick Neuheisel, they opened the season on the road against the Kansas State Wildcats on September 4, 2010. The next three games were against ranked opponents, and after a road win at #7 (AP) Texas, expectations for the Bruins dampened by their 0–2 start began to rise again. However, the season turned for the worse and included two three-game losing streaks against Pac-10 opponents, the latter to end the season on a three-game skid. The Bruins, coming off a bowl win the year before, found themselves ineligible for bowl play with their 4–8 overall record and finished ninth in the Pac-10.

The 2018 UCLA Bruins football team represented the University of California, Los Angeles in the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Bruins were led by first-year head coach Chip Kelly and played their home games at the Rose Bowl. UCLA was a member of the Pac-12 Conference in the South Division. They began the season 0–4 for the first time since 1971, and 0–5 for the first time since 1943, before finally winning their first game, in dominating fashion, against Cal. However, despite failing to improve upon their previous season's output of six wins and seven losses and failing to qualify for a bowl game, the Bruins later defeated the USC Trojans to end a three-game losing streak in their crosstown rivalry. The Bruins finished 3–9 overall, their worst record since 1971. They went 3–6 in Pac-12 play, finishing fifth in the South Division, and were outscored by their opponents by a combined score of 409 to 295.
