Berkovci (pronounced  [ˈbeːɾkɔu̯tsi] ; Hungarian : Berkeháza) is a settlement northwest of Prosenjakovci in the Municipality of Moravske Toplice in the Prekmurje region of Slovenia. [2]

The Municipality of Moravske Toplice is a municipality in Slovenia, part of the Prekmurje region. Its centre is the spa settlement Moravske Toplice. The municipality is an important center of Lutheranism in Slovenia. Large Lutheran churches are found both in the settlement, as in other surrounding villages.

There is a small chapel in the settlement with a three-story belfry. It was built in 1913. [3]

Name

The name of the settlement was changed from Berkovci to Berkovci pri Prosenjakovcih in 1955. [4] The name was later shortened to Berkovci. [5]
