Bernard Anbataayela Mornah is a Ghanaian politician and the flagbearer of the People's National Convention (PNC). [1] [2]
Mornah had his bachelor's degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of Cape Coast in 2003. He further had his master's degree in International Development and Economics from the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (University of Applied Science) Berlin in Germany. [3]
Mornah is the Chief Farming Officer (CFO) of Langdi Paradise Farms. He is also the President of Kalibi Sporting Club. Chairman of Yiriyela Enterprise. [3] He is also the Secretary of the ECOWAS Interim steering committee of Forum of West African Political Parties (FOWAPP). [3] He served as West Africa Coordinator of the Pan African Federalist Movement [4]
Mornah rose through the ranks to become the National Chairman of the People's National Convention. [5] He served as the first elected General Secretary in 2007-2012 after serving as National Youth Organiser (PNC). [4] [6] Currently,he is the Presidential Candidate and Leader of the People's National Convention (PNC). [7] [8] [9] Mornah won by 1,138 votes whiles David Apasera had 216 votes. [10] [11] [12]
In September 2024,the Electoral Commission of Ghana disqualified Mornah and other 11 candidates from contesting in the 2024 presidential election for failing to meet the requirements. [1] [13] He sued the Electoral Commission over his disqualification from the presidential race. [14] [15]
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is a centre-right and liberal-conservative political party in Ghana. Since the democratisation of Ghana in 1992,it has been one of the two dominant parties in Ghanaian politics,with its leading rival being the centre-left National Democratic Congress (NDC). John Kufuor of the NPP was President of Ghana from 2001 to 2009. At the elections held on 7 December 2004,the party won 129 out of 230 seats. The NPP candidate was Kufuor,who was re-elected as president with 52.75% of the vote. The New Patriotic Party symbol is the African elephant and the New Patriotic Party colours are red,white,and blue.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a social democratic political party in Ghana,founded by Jerry Rawlings,who was Head of State in Ghana from 1981 to 1993. He became the President of Ghana from 1993 to 2001. Following the formation of the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC),which ruled Ghana following the military coup d'état on 31 December 1981,there was pressure from the international community to restore democracy. The NDC was formed as the ruling party ahead of elections in 1992,in which Rawlings was elected president,and in 1996 Rawlings was re-elected as the NDC candidate. Rawlings' second term ended in 2001.
The People's National Convention is a political party in Ghana. After constitutional rule was restored back in Ghana in 1992 the party was formed by former President Hilla Limann based on ideals from the People's National Party which he led in the 1979 elections and won.

Progressive People's Party (PPP) is a political party in Ghana. It was formed in 2012 by Paa Kwesi Nduom,a businessman,politician and a former presidential candidate for the Convention People's Party during the 2008 general election. Former President John Dramani Mahama announced that he would contest the results. At the Supreme Court,a petition challenging the result was filed on 30 December,and unanimously dismissed on 4 March 2021 for lack of merit.
