Bess Rogers is an American indie rock musician from New York City.
Rogers was born into a musical family on Long Island, New York, [1] and attended the Conservatory of Music at the State University of New York at Purchase for recording and composition.
Bess Rogers has released three full-length albums, two EPs, and several individual song releases. She has released official music videos for four songs: Math and Science, Come Home, Favorite Day, and I Don't Worry. She regularly tours nationally and internationally, plays at venues on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, and maintains a blog. In 2012, Rogers' submission was selected from among a group of more 80 entries [2] to update the classic Cheerios jingle "The One and Only." [3]
In addition to her solo work, she has several side projects. Most notably, she was part of the backup band for indie rocker Ingrid Michaelson. In 2013 she formed the band The Secret Someones with Hannah Winkler, Lelia Broussard, and Zach Jones. She is also a member of the orchestral/electronic groups The Age of Rockets and The Robot Explosion.
In 2016 Bess released an EP featuring 3-part harmonies with Allie Moss and Hannah Winkler titled Allie, Bess & Hannah Sing.

Bess' first three records, Decisions Based on Information, Travel Back and Bess Rogers Presents Bess Rogers, were produced by Dan Romer. "Out of the Ocean" was produced by her husband and fellow Ingrid Michaelson band member Chris Kuffner.
Sara Beth Bareilles is an American singer, songwriter, actress and author. Bareilles released a self-published album Careful Confessions in 2004. She received further recognition with the release of her second studio album Little Voice (2007), which was her first recording for a major record label (Epic). The album included the hit single "Love Song", which reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned her two Grammy Award nominations, including Song of the Year. In 2010, she released her third studio album Kaleidoscope Heart, with its lead single "King of Anything" earning a Grammy Award nomination. In 2011, Bareilles served as a judge in the third season of the NBC singing competition series The Sing-Off. In 2013, she released her fourth studio album The Blessed Unrest, which earned two Grammy Award nominations, including Album of the Year.

Jenny Owen Youngs is an American singer-songwriter. She has released three albums and a handful of EPs both independently and via Nettwerk Records, and has toured worldwide. Youngs is also a songwriting collaborator whose cuts include the 2018 Panic! at the Disco single "High Hopes," as well as songs with Brett Dennen, Ingrid Michaelson, Shungudzo, Pitbull, and others.
Ingrid Ellen Michaelson is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Her first album, Slow the Rain, was released in 2005, and she has since released eight more albums: Girls and Boys,Be OK, Everybody, Human Again, Lights Out, It Doesn't Have to Make Sense, Songs for the Season, and her most recent, Stranger Songs. Allie Moss is an American songwriter and guitarist from Jersey Shore. She released her own EP entitled Passerby in 2009. In 2011, Moss released her debut album Late Bloomer. She regularly performs as a guitarist and backup vocalist for singer/songwriter and friend Ingrid Michaelson. While not performing on Michaelson's 2010 European tour, Moss returned to the fold during the summer of 2010 for a US tour.
Elliot Benjamin Jacobson is an American drummer, songwriter and producer. He was the producer and cowriter of Vérité for her first EP, Echo and the majority of her second EP, Sentiment. He plays drums for the New York-based singer/songwriter Ingrid Michaelson. He also plays drums for Jenny Owen Youngs, Elle King, Emily Kinney, and Wakey! Wakey!.
The Age of Rockets is an orchestral/electronic indie rock group from New York City. The project started in 2003 by frontman Andrew Futral as a solo endeavor while he studied at the Purchase College Conservatory of Music. After winning the John Lennon Songwriting Contest in 2004, Andrew produced his first record, entitled The Drive Home. Shortly after, he was joined by fellow Purchase College musicians Bess Rogers and Saul Simon-MacWilliams. The band has toured the United States and the UK, and in 2008 their second album Hannah was released. In 2009, the band announced plans to record a triple album, with three versions of ten songs comprising the material of the set.
"Winter Song" is a seasonal song co-written and co-sung as a duet by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson. Although considered by many to be a Christmas song, no explicit reference to the holiday can be found in its lyrics. It appeared on the holiday compilation album The Hotel Café Presents Winter Songs by various female artists, released in 2008 through Epic Records. It became a minor hit in Canada in 2008, reaching number 97. Upon release in Ireland in 2011, it reached number two for two weeks. A special charity single by #twitterxmassingle also was a separate hit in Ireland alongside the original version, reaching number eight.
John-Allison Weiss is a Los Angeles-based indie pop singer, songwriter, and performer. To date, they have released three full-length albums and several EPs. Their most recent LP, New Love, was released on October 2, 2015 through SideOneDummy Records.
Pearl and the Beard was a folk-pop trio from New York City. Their songs feature prominent three-part vocal harmonies with instrumentation that includes cello, guitar, micro korg, tenor electric guitar, baritone ukulele, and drums. They were known as "musician's musicians" and have greatly influenced many artists of their generation. They left Family Records management and label in 2011, forming an independent career and joining MCT Management in 2013. They have worked with producer Franz Nicolay, Dan Brennan and Nadim Issa. Lights Out is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson, released on April 15, 2014 through Cabin 24 Records under exclusive license to Mom + Pop Music. It debuted at number 5 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 37,000 copies in its first week. The lead single from the album, "Girls Chase Boys", was released on February 4, 2014. The second single from the album, "Afterlife", was released on October 2, 2014. The third single, "Time Machine", was released on February 19, 2015.
Storyman is the songwriting partnership of Kevin May and Mick Lynch. Both hail from Ireland and first achieved success as members of the band The Guggenheim Grotto. After raising funds for a new album through PledgeMusic, the duo worked with producer Chris Kuffner on new material. The resulting album was different enough from their previous work as The Guggenheim Grotto that they decided to change their name to reflect the new project. They released their first album as Storyman, entitled This Time Round, on November 12, 2013.

It was created in 2011 in Los Angeles, California, during Riley's first two years of college, where he developed a love for producing, mixing, and recording music. Songs for the Season, or Ingrid Michaelson's Songs for the Season, is the seventh studio album by American singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson. It was released by Cabin 24 Records on October 26, 2018. It is her first Christmas album and takes a nostalgic approach to covers of Christmas standards and carols. A deluxe edition reissue, featuring five additional tracks, was released on November 5, 2021.
"Missing You" is a song by American singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson from her eighth studio album, Stranger Songs (2019). It was released as the album's lead single on May 10, 2019, via Cabin 24 Records. The song was written by Michaelson, Jesse Thomas and Sam de Jong, and was produced by the latter. A synth-pop song with a pulsating beat heavily influenced by 1980s music, "Missing You" is about a love triangle in which its protagonist pines for a love interest despite being in a relationship with a different person.
Lelia Broussard is an American musician and member of indie pop duo Jupiter Winter. As a solo artist she has released four albums independently as well as a number of EPs and singles.
