Beverly A. Bodem is an American politician who was a Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives,representing part of the northeastern Lower Peninsula from 1991 through 1998. [1]
Born in Wisconsin in 1940,Bodem attended Wood County Teachers College,the University of Wisconsin,Lansing Community College,and Alpena Community College and studied elementary education and health sciences/nursing. [2]
She held several positions with two radio stations and was a real estate sales associate for four years. Bodem also coordinated the health care assistant training program at Alpena Community College and worked for then-State Representative John Pridnia. She was a charter member of the Alpena General Hospital Auxiliary and served on several community boards. [3]

Peter A. Pettalia was a member of the Michigan House of Representatives,first elected in 2010 and re-elected to second and third terms in 2012 and 2014. His district consisted of Presque Isle,Alpena,Alcona,Iosco,and part of Cheboygan counties. Pettalia owned an auto repair business;he also was involved with the rental cabin business. Pettalia lived in Presque Isle,Michigan. He was killed in a motorcycle accident on September 12,2016. Pettalia was wearing a helmet and the other driver was deemed at fault,resulting in a conviction of "moving violation causing death".

On August 22,2016 the remnants of S.C. Baldwin were listed in the National Register of Historic Places as reference number 16000565.

SS Vernon was a wooden-hulled American passenger and package freighter that sank in a Lake Michigan storm on October 29,1887,near Two Rivers,Wisconsin,with the loss of between 36 and 50 lives,making her one of the deadliest shipwrecks ever to have occurred in Wisconsin. Only one of the people on board survived.
