Bhole Shankar is a 2008 Indian Bhojpuri language masala film directed by Pankaj Shukla and produced by Gulshan Bhatia, starring Mithun Chakraborty and Manoj Tiwari. The film broke the standing record for biggest opening for a Bhojpuri film. [1] It is the first Bhojpuri film of Mithun Chakraborty and Monalisa. [2] [3]

Synopsis

Bhole Shankar revolves around the unemployment issue of Shankar and his brother Bhole. Shankar becomes an underworld Don. [4]

The film's music was composed by Dhananjay Mishra and the lyrics were written by Bipin Bahaar. Playback singer Shailender Singh came out of retirement to perform the song "Jai Ho Chhath Maiya" for the film.

Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar is an annual Indian award given by the Sangeet Natak Akademi to outstanding artists under 40 who have demonstrated talent in the fields of music, dance and drama. This film is a remake of the 2014 Tamil film Velaiilla Pattadhari.
