Bhushan Patel (born in Mumbai, India) is a Bollywood film director, actor and cinematographer, best known for directing the horror movies 1920: Evil Returns, Ragini MMS 2 and Alone. [1] [2] [3]

Bhushan Patel is a Gujarati. His father was a cameraman. [4] Patel studied at Jamnabai Narsee School and lived at Vile Parle next to Vikram Bhatt, another director he became friends with. [4]

1920: The Evil Returns is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language supernatural horror film written by Vikram Bhatt and directed by Bhushan Patel. A quasi-sequel to the 2008 film 1920, and the second of the 1920 film series, it stars Aftab Shivdasani, Tia Bajpai, Vidya Malvade and Sharad Kelkar. The film is third in a series of quasi-sequels released under the Bhatt Banner including Raaz – The Mystery Continues, Murder 2, Jism 2, Jannat 2 and Raaz 3D each of which had nothing to do with their respective prequels, but somehow fell in the same genre following a similar story. The trailer was released on 28 September 2012.

The movie is the sequel to the 2011 horror movie Ragini MMS. Ragini MMS 2 features Sunny Leone and Saahil Prem in lead roles in a continuation of the plot from the prequel. Unlike the first film, the movie is not shot in a found footage format. The film received an A certificate.The film was a major commercial success, being declared a hit at the box office, and catapulted Sunny into the general public conscious in India as a mainstream actress.

The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Ram Kapoor, Tamannaah Bhatia, Esha Gupta and Bipasha Basu in the lead roles with Satish Shah, Nawab Shah, Chunky Pandey and Darshan Jariwala in supporting roles. In the film, Khan, Deshmukh and Kapoor each have triple roles, that sums up to a total of 9 characters. The film is shot extensively in foreign locations. It is co-produced by Fox Star Studios and Vashu Bhagnani's Pooja Entertainment. It was released on 20 June 2014. The film released to significant criticism and is considered one of the worst Bollywood movies ever made.
