The Bible Society of Ghana is a non-denominational, non-governmental Christian organization based in Ghana. The organization is registered under the Trustees Act, 1962 of the Republic of Ghana. [1] It is the largest Bible distribution organization in Ghana.[ citation needed ]
In the late 1950s and early 1960s Rev. Prof. Baeta, Mr. A. L. Quansah and Mr. E. S. Aidoo discussed and established a national Society with others. [2] The Society opened it head office, The Bible House, on 18 September 1965. Full operation as a national Bible Society started in 1966 and it became a full member of the United Bible Societies in 1968. [2]
The organization translates, publishes and distributes Bibles at affordable prices (comes with high subsidies) and promotes its use to transform lives. [1] The organisation has a vision of reaching every home in Ghana with the word of God in a language they understand.
BSG along with Ghana Institute of Linguistics, Literacy and Bible Translation and the United Bible Societies (UBS) form the three main organisations involved in Bible translation in Ghana. [3]
Jehovah's Witnesses is a millenarian restorationist Christian denomination with nontrinitarian beliefs distinct from mainstream Christianity. The group reports a worldwide membership of approximately 8.7 million adherents involved in evangelism and an annual Memorial attendance of over 17 million. Jehovah's Witnesses are directed by the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses, a group of elders in Warwick, New York, United States, which establishes all doctrines based on its interpretations of the Bible. They believe that the destruction of the present world system at Armageddon is imminent, and that the establishment of God's kingdom over the earth is the only solution for all problems faced by humanity.

The General Church of the New Jerusalem is an international church based in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania, and based on the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the theological works of Emanuel Swedenborg. The General Church of the New Jerusalem distinguishes itself from other Swedenborgian churches by teaching that the Writings for the New Church are the Heavenly Doctrine revealed by the Lord in His Second Coming and have authority equal to the Old and New Testaments. It is larger, newer, and more conservative than the Swedenborgian Church of North America.
Various individuals, courts and the media around the world have raised concerns about the manner in which cases of child sexual abuse are handled when they occur in congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses. An independent 2009 study in Norway was critical of how Jehovah's Witnesses dealt with cases of child sexual abuse but stated there is no indication that the rate of sexual abuse among Jehovah's Witnesses is higher than found in general society. The organization officially "abhors" child sexual abuse, and states "the incidence of this crime among Jehovah's Witnesses is rare."

It was established on 8 February 1966, building on earlier work by the British and Foreign Bible Society, the American Bible Society, and the Scottish Bible Society, which translated and published the Bible in the Efik language in 1868. Dr. Dare Ajiboye is the current General Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Bible Society of Nigeria.
