Bicycle Hora is a 1968 Sri Lankan Black and white thriller film directed by K.A.W. Perera and produced by E. A. P. Edirisinghe for EAP Films. The film stars Oswald Jayasinghe and Sandhya Kumari in lead roles whereas Jeevarani Kurukulasuriya, D. R. Nanayakkara and Wally Nanayakkara made supportive roles. Film music score done by Premasiri Khemadasa.
The film received critics acclaim and later won many awards at third Sarasaviya Awards Ceremony. [1]
Patikirige Sunil Jayapreethi Edirisinghe is a Sri Lankan classical musician. Edirisinghe won the presidential award for playback singing in 1983 for "Maya Miringuva Pirunu Lo Thale" from Adhishtanaya. He was awarded the Swarna Sankha Award for playback singing in 1988 for "Thurulaka Hurathal" from Mangala Thagga and in 1990 for "Walakulak Gena Muwa Karamu" from Saharave Sihinaya. He has also won the Sarasaviya Award for playback singing in 1988 for "Thidasa Pure" from Sandakada Pahana and in 2002 for "Poronduwa" from Poronduwa.
Don Ruter Nanayakkara was a Sri Lankan actor in Sri Lankan cinema as well as in British drama. Playing lanky villains and comedic characters, Nanayakkara gained popularity in movies like Rekava, Kurulu Bedda and Sikuru Tharuwa.
