Biesloaded or Biesloaded NG, is a Nigerian street music platform founded in 2013 by Adewumi Adeyanju and Ojimi Ayomide on Instagram. [1] In 2017, the platform launched its website " www.biesloaded.ng ". Its also known as one of Nigeria's top street music platforms. [2] In 2022, it began operating as an entertainment company, shortly after partnering with Zlatan's Zanku Records. [3] [4]

History

Biesloaded was formed in 2013 by founders Adewumi Adeyanju and Ojimi Ayomide, with the sole aim of promoting street music culture and its lingo. In 2021, Adewumi released "Ma Gbo" a street music featuring Payan Boi and DJ Shizzy. [5] The street lingo "Watimagbo" which means "You should have heard" was first heard on the song and was later reused by Davido on Adekunle Gold song "High". [5]

Biesloaded has been credited for promoting MohBad before he achieved fame. [6] It released "Blogger Blogger" featuring Kabex and MohBad, days after MohBad signed with Naira Marley's Marlian Records. [7] [8] Its platform has featured Rexxie, Zlatan, Davido, Naira Marley, Seyi Vibez, Asake, Burna Boy, and dancer Poco Lee. [9] As of 20 May 2024, it has reached 1.3 million followers on Instagram.

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, who is known professionally as Wizkid, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. Olamide Gbenga Adedeji is a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter, and record executive. One of the most influential artists in Africa, he has been pivotal to the creative and commercial success of several Afrobeats music stars, and is consistently praised for his role in elevating Street Pop to mainstream recognition as a distinct music genre. He records in Yoruba and English. In 2011, he released his debut studio album Rapsodi while signed to Coded Tunes. YBNL, his follow-up album, was released under his label imprint "Yahoo Boy No Laptop," aka YBNL Nation. The album was supported by the singles "First of All," "Voice of the Street," "Stupid Love," and "Ilefo Illuminati." On 7 November 2013, he released his third studio album Baddest Guy Ever Liveth. The album's singles include "Durosoke" and "Yemi My Lover." On 17 July 2013, Olamide became the first Nigerian to sign an endorsement deal with Cîroc.

David Adedeji AdelekeOON, known professionally as Davido, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. He is regarded as one of the most important Afrobeats artists of the 21st century, and is credited alongside Burna Boy and Wizkid for popularizing the genre globally.

Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, who is better known as Kizz Daniel, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He rose to fame in 2014 with his debut single, "Woju". He signed a record deal with G-Worldwide Entertainment in 2013, but left the label following a publicized contract dispute and court case. He founded the Fly Boy Inc record label in November 2017.

<i>A Good Time</i> 2019 studio album by Davido

A Good Time is the second studio album by Nigerian singer Davido. It was released on November 22, 2019, through Davido Music Worldwide, RCA Records and Sony Music. The album features guest appearances from Chris Brown, Summer Walker, Gunna, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Dremo, Peruzzi, Popcaan, Zlatan, Yonda, Wurld and Naira Marley. Its production was handled by Speroach Beatz, Tekno, Shizzi, Kiddominant, P2J, London on da Track, and Fresh VDM, among others. In December 2019, Davido announced a North American tour in support of the album; the tour was scheduled to begin in the winter and end in spring 2020. In March 2020, Davido postponed the tour due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

A True Champion is the debut studio album by Nigerian producer and songwriter Rexxie. It was released on 28 June 2021 by Hitxlab and distributed by Dvpper Music. The 17-track album features guest appearances from Davido, Naira Marley, Teni, Zlatan, Peruzzi, MohBad, Bad Boy Timz, Zinoleesky, Bella Shmurda, BNXN fka Buju, Oxlade, Lyta, T-Classic, Blanche Bailly, Sarkodie, Ms Banks, Moelogo, Kida Kudz, and Midas The Jagaban. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known professionally as MohBad, was a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter from Lagos. Mohbad was formerly signed to Naira Marley's Marlian Records and left the label in 2022. He was best known for his hit songs "Ponmo," "Peace," "Beast and Peace," "Sorry", "Feel Good," and "KPK " with Rexxie, which was nominated three times for The Headies awards 2022. On 18 September 2023, he ranked number 1 on TurnTable's Official Artiste Top 100.

Oniyide Azeez, professionally known as Zinoleesky, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and rapper. He came to limelight with the release of his debut album "Chrome Eccentric" comprising hit tracks "Ma Pariwo" and "Kilofeshe".

On 12 September 2023, Nigerian musician MohBad died in Lagos, at the age of 27. The nurse who administered a Tetanus vaccine on him, was arrested and found to be an unlicensed nurse on 19 September 2023 by the Lagos State Police Command.

Adebajo Oluwanifemi Adebanjo professionally known as Niphkeys, is a Nigerian record music producer. Niphkeys started professionally as a producer in 2016 and has worked with BNXN, Naira Marley, MohBad, Zinoleesky and other artists.
