Ezeh Chisom Faith (born 10 November 1994), professionally known as Rexxie, [2] is a Nigerian record producer, [3] DJ, and songwriter. [4] He is popular for creating the Zanku sound, [5] and producing Naira Marley's Soapy, Tesumole and the song KPK with MohBad. [6]

Early life and career

Rexxie was born in Lagos State, southwestern region of Nigeria. Rexxie had his basic education in Abuja and Lagos where he was raised, [7] [8] he attended Yaba College of Technology and graduated from the Tai Solarin University of Education. [9]

Rexxie produced songs like Comma and Bebo on the Grammy-winning album Twice As Tall by Burna Boy. [10]

Rexxie has produced Nigerian music for the likes of Zlatan, Naira Marley, Davido, and Burna Boy. [11]

Rexxie released studio album A True Champion on June 28, 2021, which featured artists like Zlatan Ibile, Davido, Naira Marley, Zinoleesky, MohBad, Sarkodie, Peruzzi. [12]

The album is a mixture of Afrobeats, Afrobeat, dancehall, pop and hip hop. It was produced primarily by Kel-P, along with production from Benjamz, Dre Skull and Skrillex, among others. A True Champion is the debut studio album by Nigerian producer and songwriter Rexxie. It was released on 28 June 2021 by Hitxlab and distributed by Dvpper Music. The 17-track album features guest appearances from Davido, Naira Marley, Teni, Zlatan, Peruzzi, MohBad, Bad Boy Timz, Zinoleesky, Bella Shmurda, BNXN fka Buju, Oxlade, Lyta, T-Classic, Blanche Bailly, Sarkodie, Ms Banks, Moelogo, Kida Kudz, and Midas The Jagaban. The album combines elements from Amapiano, Afropop with Neo-soul percussive rhythms.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">MohBad</span> Nigerian singer-songwriter (1996–2023)

Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known professionally as MohBad, was a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter from Lagos. Mohbad was formerly signed to Naira Marley's Marlian Records and left the label in 2022. He was best known for his hit songs "Ponmo," "Peace," "Beast and Peace," "Sorry", "Feel Good," and "KPK " with Rexxie, which was nominated three times for The Headies awards 2022. On 18 September 2023, he ranked number 1 on TurnTable's Official Artiste Top 100.

On 12 September 2023, Nigerian musician MohBad died in Lagos, at the age of 27. The nurse who administered a Tetanus vaccine on him, was arrested and found to be an unlicensed nurse on 19 September 2023 by the Lagos State Police Command.

<i>Biesloaded</i> Nigerian online music and entertainment website & platform

Biesloaded or Biesloaded NG, is a Nigerian street music platform founded in 2013 by Adewumi Adeyanju and Ojimi Ayomide on Instagram. In 2017, the platform launched its website "www.biesloaded.ng". Its also known as one of Nigeria's top street music platforms. In 2022, it began operating as an entertainment company, shortly after partnering with Zlatan's Zanku Records.
