BigID was established in 2016 with seed round funding of $2.1 million. [6] [7] [8]

A Forbes article listed the company as one of the top 100 cloud computing. [9] At the end of the year, the company had reached a valuation of one billion dollars. [5]

In 2021, Inc 5000 listed BigID as the 19th fastest growing private company in America. [10]
