Big Brother is the Croatian version of the international reality television franchise Big Brother created by producer John de Mol in 1997. The show was aired on RTL Televizija. It followed a number of contestants who live in an isolated house trying to avoid being evicted by the public with the aim of winning a large cash prize at the end of the run. Throughout the season, housemates are completing tasks, every incomplete task reduces the prize.
Big Brother México is a reality television series based on the international Big Brother format produced in the Netherlands by Endemol. Big Brother México was launched by Televisa in 2002. Before its debut, the idea of being watched twenty-four hours a day by a camera was shocking to some in Mexican society. Big Brother 2011, also known as Big Brother 12, was the twelfth series of the British reality television series Big Brother and the first not to be broadcast on Channel 4. It was broadcast on Channel 5 for the first time since the show's transfer from Channel 4. It launched on 9 September 2011 with an hour and a half-long special launch show, the day after the final of Celebrity Big Brother 8. It was hosted by Brian Dowling, the winner of Big Brother 2 and Ultimate Big Brother. The series ran for 64 days, ending on 11 November 2011 when the winner, Aaron Allard-Morgan, won half of the £100,000 prize fund, with the remainder split between the five finalists. The runner up was Jay McKray.
Big Brother All-Stars was the first season of the all-star spin-off of Big Brother and the tenth season of the Big Brother format in Bulgaria overall and featured housemates from previous seasons of the show, as well as from other reality formats such as Music Idol, Survivor and X Factor. The all-star edition commenced on 19 November 2012 on Nova Television right after the fourth-season finale of VIP Brother and lasted for a total of 29 days, ended on 17 December 2012. Together with VIP Brother 1 it holds the record for shortest season of the format in Bulgaria so far. Nikola Nasteski "Lester" won with Nayden Naydenov "Ned" as the runner-up.

It premiered on 25 March 2013 on B92 as the first season to be broadcast on this channel since Veliki Brat 2009 and the first celebrity season since Veliki Brat VIP 2008. The season lasted 43 days until the live finale on 6 May 2013. The winner is Žarko Stojanović.

This season is the fifth season of the show in Serbia and seventh overall in Croatia - for both a first season after the show went on a two-year hiatus. The show is broadcast by RTL for Croatia, B92 and Prva TV for Serbia, OBN and BN for Bosnia & Herzegovina, Sitel for Macedonia and Prva for Montenegro.
Big Brother Slovenija 2015 is the third main season of the Slovenian version of Big Brother, which is broadcast on Kanal A. This is the first civilian season of Big Brother to air in Slovenia since 2008. The show also had a celebrity season in 2010, however, it aired on another channel, POP TV. Though the season launched on March 6, 2015, three housemates entered prior to the launch. These three housemates were already living in a Secret Room, without the audience or housemates knowledge. The host of the show this season Ana Maria Mitič. Due to budget restraints this season the house is not located in Slovenia. Instead, it is located in the old Veliki Brat house, in Serbia which was home to the Balkan version of the show. The Season was won by 21-year-old Pia Filipčič
The fourth series of Promi Big Brother started on 2 September 2016 and ended on 16 September 2016. It was the fourth series of the Big Brother franchise on Sat.1, after it left RTL II. 5 celebrity housemates ("promis") entered the house on Day 1 and the other 7 celebrities entered on Day 3. The show was hosted by Jochen Schropp.
Big Brother 2018, also known as Big Brother 19 was the nineteenth series of Big Brother, and the final series to air on Channel 5. The series launched four days after the final of Celebrity Big Brother 22 on 14 September 2018 and lasted for 53 days with the final episode airing on 5 November 2018. The series is the eighth regular and twenty-third series of Big Brother to air on Channel 5 since 2011; it was also the final series of Big Brother in the three-year contract that was announced on 19 March 2015, which guaranteed that the show would air on Channel 5 until 2018.
