The Bihar State Sports Authority (BSSA) is an autonomous sports governing body in the Indian state of Bihar. [1] [2] It was established to promote sports development, provide infrastructure, and support athletes across the state. [3] [4] [5] [6]

BSSA was established on 25 March 2023 under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, as part of the Government of Bihar’s initiative to strengthen the state's sports ecosystem. [7]

BSSA manages and oversees various sports facilities in Bihar. The most prominent is the Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna, which hosts national-level events and training camps. [8] [9]
