The Marylands went 0–6 for the season and Smith's record was 0–5. As a player,he batted .174,and committed eight errors in six games while splitting time in the outfield,catcher,and second base. Later,on July 12,1886,he credited as making an appearance as the umpire for a game between the Detroit Wolverines and the Kansas City Cowboys. [1]

They played their one and only home game on April 14,at Madison Avenue Grounds,and officially folded after the July 11,1873 game.

They were eliminated from playoff contention in Week 14 with a loss to the Seattle Seahawks,in which they also suffered their ninth loss,resulting their first losing season in the Harbaugh era and first since the collapse of the Brian Billick era. Ultimately the Ravens finished with a 5–11 record and twenty-two players ended the season on Injured Reserve. The 5–11 record is their worst since the 2007 season.
The 1916 Maryland State Aggies football team was an American football team that represented Maryland State College in the 1916 college football season. In their sixth season under head coach Curley Byrd,the Aggies compiled a 6–2 record and outscored opponents by a total of 142 to 52. The team's victories included games against VMI (15–9),St. John's College (31–6),Catholic University (13–9),and Johns Hopkins (54–0). Its two losses were to Navy (7–14) and Haverford (6–7).
