Billy Hill was an American country music group founded by singer/songwriter/guitarists Dennis Robbins, Bob DiPiero and John Scott Sherrill, along with Reno Kling (bass guitar) and Martin Parker (drums). [1] Before the group's foundation, Robbins had been a member of The Rockets (later The Detroit Wheels), [2] and Kling played bass for Steve Earle. [3] Sherrill and Robbins alternated as lead vocalists, [4] but credited the frontman role to a fictional character named Billy Hill and wrote a biography on the character. [5]

The band recorded one album for Reprise Records and charted two singles on the Billboard country charts. Their biggest hit was "Too Much Month at the End of the Money" which reached No. 25 on the Billboard country charts. After disbanding in 1990, Robbins became a solo artist for Giant. DiPiero and Sherrill have continued working as songwriters.

In 2003, Marty Stuart recorded "Too Much Month at the End of the Money" for his 2003 album Country Music ; his version reached No. 54 on the Billboard country charts.

"C'mon and Get My Love" is a song by British dance producer D Mob from his only studio album, A Little Bit of This, a Little Bit of That (1989). It features British singer and songwriter Cathy Dennis, credited as "introducing" her. The song established Dennis as a major chart presence during the late 1980s to early 1990s and was later also included in her debut solo album, Move to This (1990). The single was released in October 1989 by FFRR Records, peaking at number 15 on the UK Singles Chart and number 16 in Ireland. In the United States, "C'mon and Get My Love" is the song most closely identified with D Mob as it crossed over to pop radio, reaching number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. He has written 15 US number one hits and several Top 20 singles for Tim McGraw, The Oak Ridge Boys, Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Shenandoah, Neal McCoy, Highway 101, Restless Heart, Ricochet, John Anderson, Montgomery Gentry, Brooks & Dunn, George Strait, Pam Tillis, Martina McBride, Trace Adkins, Travis Tritt, Bryan White, Billy Currington, Etta James, Delbert McClinton, Van Zant, Tanya Tucker, Patty Loveless, and many others.

South 65 was an American country music boy band. The group was composed of vocalists Lance Leslie, Brent Parker, Stephen Parker, Jerimy Koeltzow, and Doug Urie. Between 1997 and its disbanding in 2001, South 65 charted five singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, in addition to recording two albums on Atlantic Records. Dennis Anthony Robbins is an American musician who first made himself known as a guitarist in the band Rockets. After his departure from The Rockets, he began a career in country music, recording three major-label albums and several singles of his own, in addition to writing hit singles for Highway 101, Shenandoah and Garth Brooks.

John Scott Sherrill is an American songwriter whose work is primarily in the field of country music. His brother, Donn Sherrill, was a student at Vanderbilt, where he introduced John Scott to his fraternity brother, Scott Siman, who recorded demos of his music. He pitched the music to Bob Beckham at Combine Music, and Beckham signed him to a worldwide publishing deal. He also got a record deal with Portrait Records in the early 1980’s and released a few solo singles of his own.
