Billy Jones in an American college baseball coach. He had served as head coach of the Appalachian State Mountaineers baseball program from 2013 to 2016. He was named to that position prior to the 2013 season. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]

Jones played at Lower Columbia College and Bellevue Community College before spending his final season at Division I Southwest Texas State. He began coaching as an assistant for two seasons at Green River Community College being elevated to the head coaching position. After two more seasons, he moved to Oregon State as an assistant, where he worked with infielders for two years. Jones then spent a year in the same position at Arizona State. Following the 2001 season, he coached the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod League. [7] In 2002, he moved to NC State, where he worked for three seasons. He started as an assistant coach, and later added recruiting coordinator duties. In 2005, Jones accepted the same position at Oklahoma State. On July 6, 2013, Jones was introduced as head coach at Appalachian State, his first Division I head coaching position. [1] [2] [6]

Gerald Hundley Moore is a former American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at North Texas State University—now the University of North Texas—from 1979 to 1980, at Texas Tech University from 1981 to 1985, and at Appalachian State University from 1989 to 2012, compiling a career college football coaching record of 242–134–2. In his 24 years at Appalachian State, Moore posted a losing season only once. He led his 2005 Mountaineers team to the NCAA Division I-AA Football Championship. This was the first national championship for any college football team in the state of North Carolina. Moore and the Mountaineers repeated as champions in 2006 and 2007, achieving the first "three-peat" in NCAA Division I FCS/I-AA history. Moore was forced out as head coach at the conclusion of the 2012 season. He was selected for inclusion into the Southern Conference Hall of Fame, and College Football Hall of Fame in 2014.

The Appalachian State Mountaineers football team is the intercollegiate American football team representing Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. He previously served as the assistant head coach and outside linebackers coach at the University of Oklahoma and the assistant head coach and defensive line coach at the University of Virginia. McNeill also served as the head coach of the East Carolina Pirates from 2010 to 2015. Before being named head coach of the Pirates, McNeill served the Texas Tech Red Raiders as an interim head coach, assistant head coach, special teams coordinator, and linebackers coach. The 2018 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team represented the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Ragin' Cajuns played their home games at Cajun Field in Lafayette, Louisiana and competed in the West Division of the Sun Belt Conference. They were led by first-year head coach Billy Napier. They finished the season 7–7, 5–3 in Sun Belt play to finish in a tie for the West Division championship with Arkansas State. Due to their head-to-head win over Arkansas State, they represented the West Division in the inaugural Sun Belt Championship Game where they lost to East Division champion Appalachian State. They were invited to the Cure Bowl where they lost to Tulane.
