Pratima Bhoumik is an Indian politician who currently serves as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in the Second Modi ministry since 7 July 2021. She is the first-ever resident from Tripura to become a minister in the union cabinet. In 2019, she was elected to the Lok Sabha from the Tripura West as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party having defeated sitting MP and Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate Sankar Prasad Datta and Congress candidate Subal Bhowmick by a huge margin.
