The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team represents Binghamton University and is located in Vestal, New York. The team currently competes in the America East Conference and plays its home games at the Binghamton University Events Center. The Bearcats have not made an appearance in the Division I tournament since joining it in 2001, but they did make appearances in the Division III Tournament from 1995 to 1998 and Division II in 1999. The Western Illinois Leathernecks men's basketball team represents Western Illinois University of Macomb, Illinois, in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's college basketball competition. As of the 2023–24 NCAA season, the Leathernecks compete in the Ohio Valley Conference.
The Binghamton Bearcats are the NCAA Division I athletics teams at Binghamton University located in Binghamton, New York. United States. They are one of four Division I programs in the SUNY system. A member of the America East Conference, Binghamton University, SUNY sponsors teams in eleven men's and ten women's NCAA sanctioned sports. The men's golf, men's tennis, and women's tennis teams are affiliate members of the Northeast Conference, and the wrestling team is a member of the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association.
The Northwest Missouri State Bearcats are the athletic teams for Northwest Missouri State University, located in Maryville, Missouri. The Bearcats play in the NCAA Division II. Northwest is a founding member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association in 1912 and has remained in the conference ever since. From their founding until 1937, they competed in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). From 1937 to 1957, they competed in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics before joining NCAA Division II. Northwest has appeared in ten Division II football title games since 1998. The men's basketball team appeared in an AAU title game in 1930, and won the Division II title in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2022.
Varsity Field is a baseball venue located on the campus of Binghamton University in Vestal, New York, United States. The field is home to the Binghamton Bearcats baseball team of the NCAA Division I America East Conference. The field holds a capacity of 1,000 spectators. In 2010, the field hosted the America East Conference baseball tournament.

Timothy Sinicki is an American college baseball coach, who has been the head coach of the Binghamton Bearcats since the start of the 1993 season. Under Sinicki, Binghamton has appeared in two NCAA Division I Baseball Championships.
John A. Affleck is an American former college sports coach. He coached baseball, men's basketball, and men's golf at Binghamton University, in addition to serving as an instructor and administrator. Under him, Binghamton's men's golf program qualified for nine NCAA Tournaments, including one in Division I. He is the only professor of physical education in the State University of New York (SUNY) system to have received the Chancellor's Award for Teaching.

The 2017–18 Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team represented Binghamton University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bearcats, led by sixth-year head coach Tommy Dempsey, played their home games at the Binghamton University Events Center as members of the America East Conference. They finished the season 11–20, 2–14 in America East play to finish in last place. They failed to qualify for the America East tournament.
The 2017–18 Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team represented Binghamton University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Bearcats, led by fourth year head coach Linda Cimino, played their home games at Binghamton University Events Center as members of the America East Conference. They finished the season 20–12, 10–6 in the America East. They earned a bye through the quarterfinals in the conference tournament, where they lost to Hartford in overtime. They received an invitation to play in the 2018 WBI, beating Youngstown State before losing to Yale in the quarterfinals.
