Bismar Gilberto Acosta Evans (born 19 December 1986) is a Costa Rican footballer who plays for Costa Rican club Pitbulls FC.

Club career

Acosta spent eight years in the Costa Rican league, most notably with Herediano. He moved abroad to join Norwegian side Start in January 2013, [1] and then SK Brann in March 2015. [2]

Acosta made his debut for Costa Rica in an October 2010 friendly match against Peru and has, as of January 2014, earned a total of 8 caps, scoring no goals. He has represented his country in 2 FIFA World Cup qualification matches. [4]

The 2009 season was SK Brann's 101st season and their 23rd consecutive season in the Tippeligaen. Steinar Nilsen took over as head coach after the six-year tenure of Mons Ivar Mjelde. The club didn't see the big signings or sales in the January transferwindow. Local-lad Erlend Hanstveit left the club after 10 years, while thought-to-be star striker Njogu Demba-Nyrén was sold only one year after signing with the club following a season where his performance was below expectations.
