Biyan Wanaatmadja or biyan born in Surabaya, Jawa Timur, 20 October 1954. The most prominent and high end fashion designer living in Indonesia. [1]
Born from Surya Wanaatmadja and Elizabeth Jonathan, Wanaatmadja spent his childhood and youth at Surabaya.
He pursued his studies in fashion, earning himself degrees at Mueller & Sohn Privat Mode Schule in 1977 at Düsseldorf, Germany and then the London College of Fashion in 1982 at London, England. In 1983, Biyan worked at Enrico Coveri di Firenze, Italia. After living in Europe for more than 15 years, Biyan's family asked him to come back to Indonesia and start his own private label. Working in a small atelier in Surabaya, Biyan produced and retailed his first clothing line.
Now Biyan holds 3 label: BIYAN (est. 1984), Studio 133 by Biyan (est. 1985), and Biyan Bride . A custom-made Biyan gown now retails from a price of US$10,000 to $20,000
Biyan label is one of the top Indonesian designer that sells Internationally, such as to Club 21, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bloomingdale's.

The Battle of Surabaya was fought between regular infantry and militia of the Indonesian nationalist movement and British and British Indian troops as a part of the Indonesian National Revolution against the re-imposition of Dutch colonial rule. The peak of the battle was in November 1945. The battle was the largest single battle of the revolution and became a national symbol of Indonesian resistance. Considered a heroic effort by Indonesians, the battle helped galvanise Indonesian and international support for Indonesian independence. 10 November is celebrated annually as Heroes' Day.

Pakuwon Mall is a shopping mall in Surabaya, Indonesia. It is the largest mall in Indonesia with a net leasable area of 200,000 m2. This mall is connected with Pakuwon Trade Center (PTC). It is on Jalan Puncak Indah Lontar at Pakuwon Indah Superblock complex at 30-hectare land area, at the CBD of West Surabaya. At the top of Pakuwon Mall, there are four tower apartments, which are called Orchard and Tanglin Tower, Anderson and Benson Tower, and there are two condominium towers called La Riz and La Viz. La Viz is still under construction. Also, there are 2 hotels right above this mall, The Westin and Four Points by Sheraton. This mall was first opened in November 2003 by PT Pakuwon Jati Tbk, two years after Pakuwon Group opened Tunjungan Plaza 4. Pakuwon Mall has six floors, while Pakuwon Trade Center has only three.
