The British Invasion was a cultural phenomenon of the mid-1960s, when rock and pop music acts from the United Kingdom and other aspects of British culture became popular in the U.S. and significant to the rising "counterculture" on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. Richard Lamar "Ricky" Hawk, better known as Silentó or Prince Silentó, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and murderer. He is best known for his debut single "Watch Me ", which charted at number three on the US Billboard Hot 100. He later released a project titled Fresh Outta High School in August 2018 after some delay. He is a native of Stone Mountain, Georgia. On February 1, 2021, he was arrested in DeKalb County and charged with multiple murder-related counts in the shooting death of his cousin, Frederick Rooks. He is currently being held without bond.
