"Black Black Heart" is a song written by David Usher and Jeff Pearce and released as the second single off Usher's 2001 album, Morning Orbit . [1] It became a minor hit in Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, and rose to number three in Greece, spending over 25 weeks on the country's singles chart. The music video won two MuchMusic Video Awards.
There are three versions of the song. The album and radio remix versions feature Julie Galios from the band My Brilliant Beast. The harder rock version, which was found as a hidden track on the album and is also referred to as "Black Black Heart 2.0", features vocals by Kim Bingham. The chorus samples The Flower Duet (Sous le dôme épais), a famous duet for sopranos from Léo Delibes' opera Lakmé , as a hook.
The music video for Black Black Heart features Usher singing the song in an apartment in a big house at night, with the scenes of him singing being intercut with various scenes showing other inhabitants of the house doing more or less usual things. It won two MuchMusic Video Awards for Best Post-Production (for Kurt Ritchie and Jeff Campbell) and Best Pop Video (for Usher) in 2002. [2]

Rene Liu and Stanley Huang recorded a Chinese version called Travel Separately (分开旅行 / Fēnkāi lǚxíng), but only with the lyrics changed and became a huge success. Usher and Pearce were credited for the song. [9] Usher also made a version of the tune in French, with popular Québec singer Marie-Mai singing on the track, as a special guest.

Although intended for an October 31, 2000, release under the title All About U, the album was delayed numerous times, following the leak of several tracks onto the online music store Napster. Usher subsequently recorded new tracks and released the album under the new title, 8701, which is derived from Usher singing for the first time in his local church in 1987 and the album's US release date of August 7, 2001. The single "Can U Help Me" was supplied with Windows XP Service Pack 2 and later Windows versions to showcase Windows Media Player 11 and higher WMP versions.

Moist is a Canadian rock band that formed in 1992. It consists of David Usher as lead vocalist, Mark Makoway on lead guitars, Jonathan Gallivan on guitars, Kevin Young on keyboards, Francis Fillion on drums, and Jeff Pearce on bass. Drummer Paul Wilcox left the band just before its hiatus in 2000.

"Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy" is a Christmas song performed by English singer-songwriter David Bowie and American singer Bing Crosby. Recorded on 11 September 1977 at ATV Elstree Studios near London for Crosby's television special Bing Crosby's Merrie Olde Christmas, the song features Crosby singing 1941 standard "The Little Drummer Boy" while Bowie sings the counterpoint tune "Peace on Earth", written by the special's musical supervisors Ian Fraser and Larry Grossman, and scriptwriter Buz Kohan, specifically for the collaboration. The remix version of the song, featuring Plies, was released to radio stations on December 8, 2009, and subsequently available for digital download on December 15, 2009. Written by the two singers with Evan Bogart, Erika Nuri and David Quiñones and producer RedOne, "Dirty Dancer" is a dance-pop song.
