"The story of how Gerald Congraves blackmailed Peter Luke into being the skipper of one of Congrave’s slaving vessels. While on the voyage, a cyclone breaks out and Luke’s wife, Jean, is washed overboard. Luke believes that Congraves killed her and starts a fight on the small raft in which the two men escape after the ship sinks. They are picked up by a ship and return to London, where Congraves and Luke part." [4]
