Black Mirrors is a Belgian rock band formed in Brussels in 2013.
In the summer of 2013, singer Marcella Di Troia wanted to start an all-female band. She quickly found a drummer and a bassist, but finding a suitable guitarist turned out to be difficult. After failing to find a suitable candidate, Pierre Lateur joined the band. After a few jam sessions, the band wanted to start investing more time and writing their own songs. The drummer and bassist then left the band due to lack of time. As replacements, the remaining members brought in two musician friends, Gino Capon and Edouard Cabuy. At the end of 2013, the band played their first concerts and recorded their debut EP. [1] The untitled EP was self-released a year later.
In 2015, the Black Mirrors played at the Out and Loud festival. Although Di Troia found the performance to be “pretty shitty”, the Austrian record label Napalm Records became aware of the band. The band and label stayed in contact. A year later, the band recorded their second EP and was signed by Napalm Records and the management of the band Blues Pills. [1] Funky Queen was released on 3 March 2017 and, in addition to three original compositions, also contains a cover version of the MC5 song Kick Out the Jams. The band then went on a European tour supporting Horisont.
In October 2017, the Black Mirrors played at the Crossroads Festival in Bonn. WDR recorded the concert and later broadcast it on the Rockpalast program. [2] The band then recorded their debut album. Look into the Black Mirror was released on 31 August 2018 and debuted at number 114 in the Wallonia and number 186 in the Flemish album charts. In autumn 2018, the band played a European tour as support for The Vintage Caravan and The Night Flight Orchestra.
Black Mirrors announced that their second studio album Tomorrow Will Be Without Us would be released on 4 November 2022. [3]
While the band's music on the first EP was still heavily influenced by Radiohead, Black Mirrors has been listed in the blues rock and garage rock genres. Ralfi Ralf from the online magazine Metal-Heads.de described the Black Mirrors' music as a wild mixture of Anouk and Janis Joplin, paired with the music of Nirvana and the Queens of the Stone Age. [4] Marcella Di Troia also names Jack White, Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix as influences. [1]

Original bassist Matt Lukin left the band in 1999, but rejoined the band in December 2000 for a tour that lasted through January 2001.

John Garcia is an American singer and songwriter. He is best known as the vocalist and founding member of stoner rock bands Kyuss, Slo Burn, Unida and Hermano. Garcia also performed in Vista Chino, formerly Kyuss Lives!, with former Kyuss members Brant Bjork and Nick Oliveri. Garcia has since decided to pursue his solo career, having formed his band, John Garcia and the Band of Gold, in 2019.
Brant Bjork is an American musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. He is best known as the drummer and founder of the influential Californian stoner rock band Kyuss. Bjork has also been a member of Fu Manchu, Mondo Generator and Vista Chino, the latter with former Kyuss members John Garcia and Nick Oliveri. He is currently the frontman and co-founder of the stoner rock power trio, Stöner. Bjork is one of the more notable figures in the stoner rock and Palm Desert scene and maintains a prolific solo career with over a dozen released albums.
Strung Out is an American punk rock band from Simi Valley, California, formed in 1989. They are known mainly for their musical style, which fuses aspects of melodic punk rock, progressive rock and heavy metal to form their primary sound. They have released nine studio albums on Fat Wreck Chords as well as one Live album, 2 B-sides collections, a best-of, a box set and appeared on numerous compilations and skate/surf/dirt bike/offroading videos. They have played on the Warped Tour and continue to tour internationally. The band currently have an ongoing collaboration beer with Lucky Luke Brewing Company called “Astrolux Golden Ale”. Their albums have charted on the Billboard 200.
William Wyman Sherwood is an American multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, singer, record producer and mixing engineer. He is best known for his tenures in the English progressive rock band Yes as guitarist and keyboardist in 1994 and from 1997 to 2000 and as bassist since 2015, following the death of original bassist Chris Squire. He is also known for working with former and current Yes members on other projects.

Hiro D. Yamamoto is a Japanese-American bassist who was a founding member of grunge band Soundgarden, along with Kim Thayil and Chris Cornell in 1984. Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra is a Canadian post-rock band that formed in 1999, originating from Montreal, Quebec. Variations of the name used on the band's releases include A Silver Mt. Zion, The Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band, The Silver Mt. Neil Citron is a Toronto-born Canadian guitarist, Grammy Award-winning recording engineer, and songwriter who has played with Lana Lane, and briefly with heavy metal band Quiet Riot in 2006, among numerous other music industry credits. He has also worked on the films My Big Fat Greek Wedding, That Thing You Do!, and Ricki and the Flash.
TKO is an American hard rock and heavy metal band from Seattle, Washington, which was mainly active between 1977 and 1986. The group's lead vocalist and only consistent member is Brad Sinsel.
Jinjer ( "ginger") is a Ukrainian metalcore band from Donetsk, formed in 2008. None of the founding members remain with the band. The current lineup considers 2009 as its official year of formation, with the arrival of singer Tatiana Shmayluk and guitarist Roman Ibramkhalilov. Bangladeshi heavy metal or Bangla heavy metal was originated from the evolution of British and American heavy metal bands of the 1980s. Bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica and Megadeth have had the greatest influences on Bangladeshi heavy metal musicians. Other 1970s bands to influence are bands like Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Motörhead. The first bands to play heavy metal in Bangladesh were bands like Warfaze and Rockstrata. The most prominent era for heavy metal movement was between the early 1990s to early 2000s. Warfaze, Rockstrata, Aces and in Dhaka are often considered as the "big four founders of heavy metal". Other 2000s metal bands are bands like Artcell, Aurthohin, Cryptic Fate, Powersurge, Mechanix, Metal Maze, Vibe and Stentorian. Alternative bands like Nemesis, Arbovirus and Black also played some alternative metal songs over the years. Warfaze, Artcell and Aurthohin together are the most popular rock/metal trio of Bangladesh.
