Black Thunder is the debut studio album by the American rock band Doomriders. The album was released on August 9, 2005 through Deathwish Inc. [3] Geoff Summers of Noisecreep noted that the album had a "strong party vibe." [4] The cover art for Black Thunder was painted by Doomriders' bassist Jebb Riley. [5]

Doomriders is a heavy metal band from Boston, Massachusetts. The band has released three albums on Deathwish, Inc. The band's vocalist/guitarist Nate Newton also plays bass in Converge and guitar in Old Man Gloom. Jebb Riley formerly played bass in There Were Wires. Doomriders have toured with Coliseum and Saviours. The band began work on their third studio album in 2011 with an expected release date in 2013 through Deathwish. Doomriders released Grand Blood on October 15, 2013.

Deathwish Inc.

Deathwish, Inc. is an independent record label founded by Jacob Bannon of Converge and Tre McCarthy. The idea of the label was conceived by Bannon and McCarthy in 2000. Their first release was Deeper the Wound, a split album between Converge and Japanese band Hellchild on April 23, 2001. Deathwish established itself quickly, working with a diverse group of bands and eventually becoming one of the most respected and innovative labels in contemporary hardcore punk and aggressive music in general.

Noisecreep is a hard rock and heavy metal music news and media website based in the United States. The site was created by AOL Music in March 2009.

Converge (band) American hardcore punk band

Converge is an American hardcore punk band formed by vocalist Jacob Bannon and guitarist Kurt Ballou in Salem, Massachusetts in 1990. During the recording of their seminal fourth album Jane Doe, the group became a four-piece with the departure of guitarist Aaron Dalbec and the addition of bassist Nate Newton and drummer Ben Koller. This lineup has remained intact since. They have released nine studio albums, three live albums, and numerous EPs. Nate Newton (musician) American musician

Nate Newton is the bassist in hardcore punk band Converge. He also played bass in Cavalera Conspiracy and Cave In, and he plays guitar and sings in Old Man Gloom and Doomriders.

Ben Koller is an American drummer currently in Converge, Mutoid Man, Killer Be Killed and All Pigs Must Die. He started playing a full drum kit at age 14.

Rise and Fall have been influenced by bands such as Black Flag, Converge, Neurosis, Tragedy and Entombed.

<i>Long Hair and Tights</i> live album by Doomriders

Long Hair and Tights is a split live album by Japanese band Boris and U.S. band Doomriders. It was released in 2007 by Daymare Recordings. It was released as a double LP and limited to 1000 copies. The cover features a homage to the classic Judas Priest album cover Screaming for Vengeance. The first 300 copies of the record came with a "Doomriders vs. Boris" stencil.

Jacob Bannon American musician

Jacob Bannon is the vocalist, lyricist, and graphic artist for the American metalcore band Converge. He is the founder and owner of the record label Deathwish Inc. and the author of many visual works for independent punk rock and heavy metal musicians. Bannon has also composed and performed experimental music as Supermachiner with Ryan Parker and more recently as Wear Your Wounds.

Pulling Teeth was an American hardcore punk band from Baltimore, Maryland. Formed in 2005, the band released several recordings, and toured many times throughout North America, Europe and Japan before settling down and becoming a studio band. They announced their break-up on their official website in December 2011 and played their final show in Baltimore on January 21, 2012. They will be back together to play an exclusive set at This Is Hardcore Festival in Philadelphia, PA in July 2017 in celebration of the 10 year anniversary of the Martyr Immortal album

Deafheaven American metal band formed in 2010

Deafheaven are an American post-metal band formed in 2010. Originally based in San Francisco, the group began as a two-piece with singer George Clarke and guitarist Kerry McCoy, who recorded and self-released a demo album together. Following its release, Deafheaven recruited three new members and began to tour. Before the end of 2010, the band signed to Deathwish Inc. and later released their debut album Roads to Judah, in April 2011. A follow-up album, Sunbather, was released in 2013 to wide critical acclaim, becoming one of the best reviewed albums of the year in the United States. In 2015 the band released their third album, New Bermuda, and in 2018 their fourth, Ordinary Corrupt Human Love.

Black Eye Blues is the second studio album by the American hardcore band Lewd Acts. The album was released on September 1, 2009 through Deathwish Inc. Black Eye Blues was met with generally positive reviews. NME said the song "Night-Crawlers" is "a melodic welt to be worn proudly." The illustrations for Black Eye Blues were done by Tyler Densley, and the design and packaging were done by Jacob Bannon of Converge. The album was produced by Kurt Ballou also of Converge.

Loma Prieta (band)

Loma Prieta is an American hardcore punk band that formed in 2005. The group is based in San Francisco, California and derived their name from the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. Most of the group's early material was released on their own record label named Discos Huelga. Loma Prieta has toured the US, Mexico, Canada, Europe and Japan. They share members with Punch. Their often dark and emotionally charged music blends a range of styles, most prominently screamo and powerviolence.

Grand Blood is the third studio album from the American rock band Doomriders. The album was released on October 15, 2013 through Deathwish Inc. Doomriders began writing material for Grand Blood as early as 2011. The Kurt Ballou-produced album will be the band's first release of original material since 2009's Darkness Come Alive, and will also be the first album with drummer Q, who is also a member of the band Clouds.
